Abstract: In some implementations, a network device may monitor a communication session associated with a user equipment and a network. The network device may determine a service-level identifier associated with a subscription of the user equipment, wherein the subscription is for a particular level of service that is to be provided by the network to the user equipment. The network device may determine that a performance metric associated with the communication session satisfies a performance threshold associated with the particular level of service. The network device may provide the service-level identifier to the user equipment based on the performance metric satisfying the performance threshold, wherein the service-level identifier enables an indication that the user equipment is receiving the particular level of service to be displayed by the user equipment.

Abstract: A network device, of a fifth generation (5G) radio access network, may establish a connection or a session with a user equipment connected to a Wi-Fi network. The network device may determine an indicator indicating whether a 5G network preference is in effect based on a subscription of the user equipment and may provide the indicator to the user equipment. The network device may maintain the connection or the session with the user equipment when the indicator indicates that the Wi-Fi network is not preferred for Wi-Fi offload and may receive traffic from the user equipment when the indicator indicates that the Wi-Fi network is not preferred for Wi-Fi offload.

The user device may execute an application stored in the user device based on receiving a selection of the application, where execution of the application may cause data to be generated. The user device may identify a slice of the network to which to route the data based on the network slice selection assistance information included in the default table. The user device may cause the data to be routed to the slice of the network identified based on the network slice selection assistance information included in the default table.

Abstract: A base station may define power saving profiles, and may define, for the power saving profiles, sets of features and parameter settings for each feature of the sets of features. The base station may store the power saving profiles, the sets of features, and the parameter settings in a data structure, and may receive, from a user equipment, data identifying a service utilized by the user equipment or an operation mode of the user equipment. The base station may retrieve, from the data structure, a single power saving profile based on the data identifying the service utilized by the user equipment or the operation mode of the user equipment, and may enable, for the user equipment, a corresponding set of features and corresponding parameter settings of the single power saving profile based on the single power saving profile being retrieved from the data structure.

Abstract: A device may determine that an application server requires an IPv6 address of a user equipment, and may provide, to another network device, a request for the IPv6 address of the user equipment, wherein the request includes data identifying an IP address of the network device and a port of the network device, and wherein the request is to cause the other network device to provide the request for the IPv6 address to the user equipment via a SMS request message, and receive, from the user equipment, data identifying the IPv6 address and a port of the user equipment via a SMS response message. The network device may receive, from the other network device, a response that includes the data identifying the IPv6 address and the port of the user equipment, and may store the data identifying the IPv6 address and the port of the user equipment.

Abstract: A user equipment may determine an initial signal parameter value of a signal received from a base station. The user equipment may determine one or more subsequent signal parameter values corresponding to one or more signals received from the base station. The one or more subsequent signal parameter values may be measured after the initial signal parameter value. The user equipment may calculate a filtered signal parameter value based on the initial signal parameter value and the one or more subsequent signal parameter values. Each signal parameter value, of the one or more subsequent signal parameter values, may be weighted by an amount greater than or equal to a previously measured signal parameter value. The user equipment may provide the filtered signal parameter value in a measurement report.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for a network framework for Wi-Fi barring of network usage that enables network management at a device level, which provides capabilities for the optimization of internet connectivity and data usage based on a user's and/or device's specific needs and priorities. The framework operates to handle information management system (IMS) connections and IMS registration failures over evolved Packet Data Gateways (ePDG). The framework provides a Wi-Fi backoff timer that can be implemented for particular Wi-Fi networks, which can correspond to a Wi-Fi access point (AP). Thus, a connected device (e.g., a user's smart phone) can toggle connectivity to and/or from a cellular network in accordance with encountered failures with an AP via the timer's implementation and network control of the device.
