Abstract: A composition comprising at least one fuel that is a diesel fuel, a biodiesel fuel, or combinations thereof and less than 100 ppm, less than 50 ppm (or less than 25 ppm, less than 10 ppm, 1 to 7 ppm, or 5 to 7 ppm) of an alkylene-coupled C10 to C60 (or C10 to C40, C14 to C32 or C24 to C28) alkylphenol; 25 to 500 ppm (or 50 to 500 ppm, or 150 to 450 ppm or 250 to 450 ppm, or 250 to 400 ppm) of a terpolymer; and 5 to 90 ppm, (or 10 to 70 ppm, to 60 ppm, or 10 to 55 ppm) of hydrocarbyl-substituted amine detergent having at least one tertiary amino group.
Methods of reducing the cold filter plugging point (“CFPP”) of a fuel, said method comprising adding the following components: less than 100 ppm, less than 50 ppm (or less than 25 ppm; less than 10 ppm, 1 to 7 ppm, or 5 to 7 ppm) of an alkylene-coupled C10 to C60 (or C10 to C40, C14 to C32 or C24 to C28) alkylphenol; 25 to 500 ppm (or 50 to 500 ppm, or 150 to 450 ppm or 250 to 450 ppm, or 250 to 400 ppm) of a terpolymer; and 5 to 90 ppm, (or 10 to 70 ppm, to 60 ppm, or 10 to 55 ppm) of hydrocarbyl-substituted amine detergent having at least one tertiary amino group.
Uses of a fuel additive composition to reduce the cold filter plugging point (“CFPP”) of a fuel, wherein the fuel additive composition comprises: 0.2 to 3 wt % of an alkylene-coupled C10 to C60 (or C10 to C40, C14 to C32 or C24 to C28) alkylphenol; 10 to 50 wt % of a terpolymer; and 2 to 10 wt % of hydrocarbyl-substituted amine detergent having at least one tertiary amino group; and an optional solvent.-

Abstract: Fuel additive compositions having at least one acylated detergent, at least one Mannich detergent, and at least one polyether and/or polyetheramine. The acylated detergent may be the reaction product of a hydrocarbyl-substituted acylating agent and a nitrogen containing compound having at least one amino group, that may optionally be quaternizable, and at least one oxygen or nitrogen atom capable of reacting with the hydrocarbyl-substituted acylating agent. The compositions are useful for reducing the formation of carbonaceous deposits and/or cleaning carbonaceous deposits in an engine, such as a gasoline direct injection engine.

Abstract: An additive composition improves the stability and the engine performances of gas oils, including gas oils of the non-road type in compliance with the decree of 10 Dec. 2010. The additive composition includes: at least one metal deactivator or chelating agent, at least one antioxidant of the hindered phenol type (alkylphenol), at least one dispersant and/or detergent, and at least one metal passivator, wherein the composition includes improved properties, in particular relative to the oxidation resistance, storage stability, thermal stability, reduction in fouling of the injectors, reduction in loss of power, reduction in the tendency of filters to clog.

The present invention further relates to the use of these acid-free quaternized nitrogen compounds as a fuel additive for reducing or preventing deposits in the injection systems of direct-injection diesel engines, especially in common-rail injection systems, for reducing the fuel consumption of direct-injection diesel engines, especially of diesel engines with common-rail injection systems, and for minimizing power loss in direct-injection diesel engines, especially in diesel engines with common-rail injection systems.

Abstract: A fuel composition, a lubricant composition, and methods for reducing friction or wear of moving parts. The fuel composition includes gasoline and from about 10 to about 500 ppm by weight of a dialkylaminoalkanol of the formula R1(R2)NCH2CH(R3)R4. The lubricant composition includes base oil of lubricating viscosity and from about 0.05 to about 5.0 weight percent of a dialkylaminoalkanol of the formula R1(R2)NCH2CH(R3)R4. In the above formulas wherein R1 is an alkyl group or a hydroxyalkyl group containing from 8 to 50 carbon atoms; R2 is an alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R3 is selected from H and OH; and R4 is selected from H, an alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and CH2OH and wherein at least one of R3 and R4 contains a hydroxyl group and provided that when R1 is a hydroxyalkyl group, R3 is OH and R4 is CH2OH.
