The present invention relates to a Rhizoctonia solani AROM (RsAROM) gene-specific primer and to a method for detecting sheath blight by using the same, which can be used as a molecular biological method for diagnosing sheath blight by using a primer that can specifically detect RsAROM gene existing in a sheath blight genome and a probe to objectively quantify the development of sheath blight.

CONSTITUTION: A promoter for target protein-specific expression in a scutellum or a scutellum-derived meristem of Oryza sative seeds contains a base sequence in sequence number 1. A recombinant expression vector contains the promoter and a structural gene which encodes a target protein and is operatively linked. A transformant is prepared by transformation by the vector and is Agrobacterium tumefaciens. A transgenic plant is transformed by the vector or the transformant. The transgenic plant is Oryza sativa.

PURPOSE: A method for controlling growth or shape of a plant using a gene isolated from Oriza sativa is provided to express a transformant of OsTCP6 gene in the plant and to enhance crop productivity. CONSTITUTION: A protein which regulates growth or shape of a plant has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. A gene encoding the protein has a base sequence of sequence number 1. The growth or shape is regulated by controlling intracellular protein level. The intracellular protein level is controlled by introducing the gene into plant cells or transforming the plant with the gene. The gene is PCNA, cyclinD3, cyclinB1, cdc2b or expansin. A composition for controlling growth or shape of the plant contains the protein or transformant.

CONSTITUTION: Auxin receptor protein ABP57 relating to the cell membrane hydrogen pump activation of rice-derived plant has an amino acid sequence selected from sequence numbers 1-5. A gene encoding the ABP57 has an amino acid sequence of sequence numbers 6-10. Plant characteristics are improved by transforming a host cell with a recombinant protein. A composition for improving plant characteristics contains the gene encoding ABP57.

A transformant with improved rice blast resistance is prepared by transforming with a recombinant expression vector containing the gene of sequence number 1. The rice blast resistance is controlled by regulating protein level in a cell. A method for over-expressing the protein comprises: a step of preparing the recombinant expression vector and transforming a plant with the recombinant expression vector or a step of transducing the gene encoding the protein into plant cells. CONSTITUTION: A method for trasforming a plant body using Agrobacteria comprises a step of removing albumen from the plant body and co-culturing the plant body with the Agrobacteria containing a recombinant expression vector for 7 or more days. The plant is cultured is cultured in an N6 meidum containing 1-3 mg/L of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid at 25-32 Deg. C. for 4-7 days before removing albumen. The plant body is a callus of Oryza sativa. The Agrobacteria is Agrobacterium thumefacience strain LBA4404.
