    Abstract: According to the present invention, microbes which live in Perinereis aibuhitensis in coastal mud flats have been grown in an MA culture medium and colonies have appeared, wherein the Perinereis aibuhitensis is known to have excellent degradability of organic matter. Thirty-one colonies have been separately selected according to the colors and shapes of the colonies which have appeared in the MA culture medium. Strains belonging to Bacillus genus have been isolated as a result of identification on the basis of 16S rRNA sequences after a pure culture process of the 31 colonies. Bacillus strains EBW4 and CBW4 isolated from the Perinereis aibuhitensis have excellent degradabilities of protein, carbohydrate and lipid and have resistance to salt. Accordingly, the EBW4 and CBW4 can be practically used to purify the wastewater environment of a farm contaminated with organic matter.
