Abstract: PURPOSE: A hot press device for manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly is provided to effectively prevent deformation of a membrane electrode assembly due to heat by hot-pressing a membrane electrode assembly and a gas diffusion layer. CONSTITUTION: A hot press device(100) consists of an upper press(110) and a lower press(120). In each of the presses, a heat-shielding part(122) which is contacted to a selected region of a connecting object except a hot press joint part of a membrane electrode assembly(5) and a gas diffusion layer(6) to block heat of the press to the selected region. The heat-shielding region comprises a heat-insulting part(112) consisting of insulating material.
