Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer dispersion having high solid content and low viscosity. SOLUTION: This polymer dispersion having different particle size is produced very simply by emulsion-polymerization of a free-radical polymerizable compound by adding a mini-emulsion that is a surfactant-stabilized aqueous emulsion of monomers having emulsified particle size of 10-500nm, and whose liquid monomer particles contain a compound whose solubility into the monomers is at least twice that into water, before or during polymerization of the monomers.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing low viscosity aqueous polymer dispersions with polymodal distribution of polymer particle sizes and a solid matter content higher than 50 vol. % by means of radical aqueous emulsion polymerization after a charging method in the absence of a seed latex.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing aqueous polymer dispersions containing colorants by radical aqueous emulsion polymerisation of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of radical-forming initiators. At least a proportion of the monomers is used in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion E1 whose disperse phase contains at least one oil-soluble colorant. The inventive method is characterised in that the disperse phase of E1 is essentially made up of colorant-containing monomer droplets with a diameter
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing polymer coated pigment particles, whereby a solution of a polymer in a first solution is mixed with a second solution, wherein the polymer is insoluble or is hardly soluble, in the presence of finely distributed pigment particles. The choice of polymer enables the pigment particle to be modified as desired.
Abstract:
This is a process in order to prepare a dilute polymer dispersion by the emulsion polymerisation of the compositions that able to polymerise as free radically (monomers); contains addition of a mini emulsion prepared from dilute, surfactant containing a compound (common regulator) dissolved into drop monomers having emulsified drops between 10 and 500nm before or during the polymerisation of the monomers and its solubility inside the monomers is at least twice the solubility inside the water.
Abstract:
An aqueous polymer dispersion having a solids volume concentration of 50% by volume or more, obtained by free-radical aqueous emulsion polymerisation of free-radical-polymerisable monomers other than vinyl and vinylidine halides, with addition of an aqueous starting polymer dispersion having a certain diameter distribution of the starting polymer particles present therein, by the feed process.
Abstract:
Described is a process for preparing polymer-enrobed pigment particles, which comprises mixing in the presence of finely dispersed pigment particles a solution of a polymer in a first solvent with a second solvent in which the polymer is substantially insoluble. The pigment particle can be specifically modified by judicious selection of the polymer.
