    Abstract: Production of an elastomeric (graft)polymer micro-suspension comprises dispersion of a mixture comprising ethylenically unsaturated monomers, crosslinking monomers and aliphatic hydrocarbon polymer; polymerisation of the droplets using a radical polymerisation initiator; and optionally graft polymerisation of the resulting mixture in the presence of ethylenically unsaturated monomers. Production of an elastomeric (graft)polymer micro-suspension (A) comprises (a) dispersion of a mixture comprising (A11) 30-99.9 wt.% ethylenically unsaturated monomers, (A12) 0-20 wt.% crosslinking monomers and (A13) 0.1-50 wt.% aliphatic hydrocarbon polymer having a Tg of less than 0degreesC, (b) polymerisation of the droplets using a radical polymerisation initiator, and optionally (c) graft polymerisation of the resulting mixture in the presence of ethylenically unsaturated monomers. Independent claims are included for (i) the elastomeric (graft) polymer micro-suspension (A); (ii) a molding composition comprising (A) 1-85 wt.% graft polymer, (B)15-99 wt.% of a polymer matrix consisting of polymers of styrene, alpha -methylstyrene, acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile and/or (meth)acrylic acid ester, (C) 0-50 wt.% fibrous and/or particulate fillers, and (D) 0-40 wt.% other additives; and (iii) fibers, film or molded articles prepared from the molding composition.
