Abstract: Catalysts (I), for the production of carboxylic acid salts from alcohols, comprise (wt.%): (1) copper; or (2) copper (10-99.9), iron (0.01-90) and at least one other metal (0-50). Catalysts (I) are optionally doped. The hydroxide is prepared by precipitation of copper salt solutions (and/or copper and iron salt solutions with salts of at least one other metal (A)) by coprecipitation with a base and reduction with hydrogen. An Independent claim is included for a process for the production of carboxylic acid salts by reaction of an alcohol of formula (II) with an alkali hydroxide and/or alkaline earth metal hydroxide in water. The reaction is in the presence of a catalyst (I), at 120-280 deg C, and at a pressure between the vapor pressure of water and 75 bar. R = -(OCH2CH2OH) or -NR R ; and R , R = H, phenyl, -CH2CH2OH, 1-20 C alkyl or 2-5C dialkylamino.

Abstract: Process for preparing aminodihalophosphines, diaminohalophosphines, triaminophosphines, phosphorous ester diamides, aminophosphines, diaminophosphines, phosphorous ester amide halides and aminophosphine halides with elimination of an acid in the presence of an auxiliary base, wherein the auxiliary base b) and the acid form a salt which is liquid at temperatures at which the desired product is not significantly decomposed during the process of separating off the liquid salt and c) the salt of the auxiliary base forms two immiscible liquid phases with the desired product or the solution of the desired product in a suitable solvent.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing aminodihalophosphines, diaminohalophosphines, triaminophosphines, phosphite diamides, aminophosphines, diaminophosphines, phosphite amide halogenides, and aminophosphine halogenides by separating an acid in the presence of an auxiliary base. Said auxiliary base b) forms a salt with an acid, which is liquid at temperatures at which the valuable product is not significantly decomposed during separation of the liquid salt, and c) the salt of the auxiliary base and the valuable product or the solution of the valuable product form two immiscible phases in a suitable solvent.

Abstract: Un proceso para la preparación de aminodihalofosfinas, diaminohalofosfinas, triaminofosfinas, diamidas de éster fosforoso, aminofosfinas, diaminofosfinas, haluros amida de éster fosforoso y haluros de aminofosfina con la eliminación de un ácido en la presencia de una base auxiliar, en donde b) la base auxiliar y el ácido forman una sal que es líquida a temperaturas a las cuales el producto deseado no se descompone significantemente durante el proceso de separación completa de la sal líquida y c) la sal de la base auxiliar forma dos fases líquidas inmiscibles con el producto deseado o la solución del producto deseado en un solvente apropiado.
