Abstract: The novel feature in Cl2 prodn. by alternatingly (a) loading a catalyst with HCl at 300-420 (pref. 360-410) degrees C and then (b) regenerating the catalyst with an O2-contg. gas at 370-460 (pref. 380-420) degrees C is that the catalyst is a sintered shape made of (by wt.): (i) 2-30% oxides and/or chlorides of Cu, Fe, Ru, Ce, Bi, Ni, Co, Ga and/or Nd; (ii) 0-30% Li-, Na-, K- and/or Zn-chloride; and (iii) 98-40% ceramic-, silicate- and/or glass-carrier. This catalyst is prepd. using inorganic metal powder and/or an active component, together with a specified polymer (mixt.) and a dispersant.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an aqueous solution of free hydroxylamine by treating a hydroxylammonium salt with ammonia in the counter-current in a stripping column. As a result, hydroxylamine is released and at the same time, the solution obtained is separated into an aqueous hydroxylamine solution and a salt fraction by distillation. The inventive method is simple and mild, and can be carried out on a large scale. The risk of decomposition is minimal due to the low thermal burden, the low concentration of hydroxylamine and the short residence time involved in the process.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of highly pure aqueous solution from free hydroxylamine, wherein the diluted aqueous hydroxylamine solution is concentrated in a column, the vapor containing hydroxylamine is removed from the bottom of the column via a side-stream and highly pure hydroxylamine is obtained through condensation of the vapors. The inventive method is simple and mild, can be used in large-scale production and yields "electronic grade" hydroxylamine.

Abstract: Regenerative process for prodn. of olefinically unsatd. cpds. by an alternating and cyclically repeated oxidn. of selectively oxidisable hydrocarbons at a temp. Treact using an oxygen transfer catalyst (I) in the absence of molecular oxygen, with regeneration of the spent (I) with a gaseous molecular oxidising agent (II), whereby (i) before introducing the (II), the spent (reduced) catalyst (I) is cooled to a temp. Tregen which is also below the reaction temp. Treact whilst still in the presence of the reaction having a reducing action or under an inert gas; (ii) regeneration is carried out at the temp. Tregen by beginning the introduction of the (II) and continuing the addn. such that the highest temp. achieved during the regeneration remains lower than the reaction initiation temp. Treact.0 for the subsequent oxidn./dehydrogenation reaction; and (iii) after removing the oxidising medium, the regenerated catalyst is heated to the reaction initiation temp. Treact and only then is the oxidisable hydrocarbon starting material introduced. The catalyst is pref. at least one reducible metal oxide chosen from oxides of Bi, V, Ce, Fe, In, Ag, Cu, Co, Mn, Pb, Sn, Mo, W, As and/or Sb, opt. mounted on a carrier such as a transition metal oxide, esp. TiO2 or Cr2O3.
