    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a wireless LAN module for efficiently exchanging data. SOLUTION: First of all, it is decided whether or not a power source for supplying power is an AC adapter (step S201). When the power source is the AC adapter, data are exchanged (step S206). When the power source is not the AC adapter, on the other hand, the state of a link with an access point is measured (step S202) and further, when a radio wave strength is lower than a threshold as a result of measurement, a channel search is carried out (step S204) so that data are transmitted/received to a new access point (steps S205 and S206). In such a control method, when the power source is the AC adapter, data can be continuously exchanged without measuring the link state or carrying out the channel search.
