PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute data to a plurality of information processing devices in high speed. SOLUTION: An information processing system is provided with a plurality of information processing devices which mutually perform radio communication. The system has a distribution data receiver by which a plurality of respective information processing devices receive distribution data, which are the distribution data to be distributed to a plurality of respective information processing devices from an information processing device which was already distributed with the distribution data out of a plurality of information processing devices; a sending end selector which selects an information processing device which does not receive the distribution data yet out of a plurality of information processing devices, as a information processing device of the sending end of the distribution data; and a distribution data transmitter which transmits the distribution data to the information processing device which is selected by the sending end selection part using a frequency band which is not used by other information processing devices, in parallel to the transmission process of the distribution data by other information processing devices to further other information processing devices. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized multi-band communication device, which has a small number of antennas and is capable of diversity reception, and its communication method. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with two dual-band antennas (11, 12) which enable transmission and reception between two communication systems having mutually different communication frequency bands, two transmission and reception parts (21, 22) which modulate transmit data of the communication systems and demodulate receive data, switch means (13 to 18) for connecting the antennas 11 and 12 to the transmission and reception parts 21 and 22, and a switch control means (29) which performs switching control over the switch means; and a communication system which is ready to communicate and made active is selected first through SCAN operation and then the antenna to be made active when diversity reception is performed is selected. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a wireless LAN module for efficiently exchanging data. SOLUTION: First of all, it is decided whether or not a power source for supplying power is an AC adapter (step S201). When the power source is the AC adapter, data are exchanged (step S206). When the power source is not the AC adapter, on the other hand, the state of a link with an access point is measured (step S202) and further, when a radio wave strength is lower than a threshold as a result of measurement, a channel search is carried out (step S204) so that data are transmitted/received to a new access point (steps S205 and S206). In such a control method, when the power source is the AC adapter, data can be continuously exchanged without measuring the link state or carrying out the channel search.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit wireless communication by means of a communication controller connecting to an antenna when the combination of the communication controller and the antenna is judged inappropriate in a computer device provided with the antenna. SOLUTION: The computer device is provided with a mini PCI slot 30 in which a wireless LAN card 31 comprising the wireless communication controller is attachable, and with a built-in diversity antenna 15. In this computer device, identity information (ID) of the attached wireless LAN card 31 is recognized by a BIOS executed by a CPU 21, the connection between the diversity antenna 15 and the wireless LAN card 31 is cut off in an initial condition where the wireless LAN card is attached, and a switch device 41 is provided for switching the connection from off to on based on the ID information recognized by the BIOS. SOLUTION: In a network security system, clients 10a-10e are connected to the LAN by radio transmission to search nearby access points (AP). The list of the acquired access points as a result of the search is sent to a controller 20. In the controller 20, the list of access points registered beforehand is compared with the lists sent from the respective clients 10a-10e and detects unregistered access points. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for radio LAN module capable of suppressing consumption power. SOLUTION: The control method comprises a step S201 of scanning an access point, a step S205 of setting a scanning time interval T up to the next scanning to t1 if communication with the access point is available, and a step S215 of setting the time interval T to t2 longer than t1 if the communication is not available. The control method further comprises a step S207 of determining whether power is supplied from an AC power supply or not if the communication is available, a step S209 of setting drive mode of the radio LAN module to a normal mode if it is determined that the power is supplied from the AC power supply, a step S210 of setting a power saving mode if not from the AC power supply, and a step S217 of setting the drive mode to a deep sleep mode if the communication is not available.

SOLUTION: A network connection system of this invention is provided with a location profile DB 14 for storing adapter information being physical switching information corresponding to location information and network setting information being logical switching information corresponding to the adapter information each time a plurality of networks are respectively connected, an adapter switching device 11 for acquiring the adapter information from the location profile DB 14 based on the designation of location received from a user, and for switching an adapter 20, and a network setting switching device 12 for acquiring the network setting information from the location profile DB 14 based on the designation of the accepted location, and for switching network setting 30.
