Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the rise time after moving while reducing a fault caused in moving (carrying) in a portable notebook PC (computer device) provided with a lid. SOLUTION: The portable notebook PC (computer device) has a normal operation mode enabling the use of the notebook PC by a user, a power saving mode for saving a work executed in the normal operation mode to a predetermined memory, and using only the minimum power necessary for holding data to suppress the consumption of power, and a moving mode for stopping a function which may cause a fault in case of moving the notebook PC while maintaining a CPU in an operating state to temporarily disable the system. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify ejection work on a plurality of devices connected to a computer device. SOLUTION: A computer system comprises an ejection device list 12 for storing information on a device about ejection out of a plurality of connectable devices, a user interface graphic screen 13 for displaying information about batch ejection of a plurality of devices, and an ejection utility program 11 for issuing an ejection request to an OS kernel mode service 21 via an OS application program interface 14, if finding a device to be ejected by reading in the ejection device list 12, upon a batch ejection request made by a user via the user interface graphic screen 13. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selection method of an optimum access point apparatus with less interference effect and high in electric field strength by a wireless station when the wireless station selects one of a plurality of the access point apparatuses. SOLUTION: The wireless station is provided for the selection of one access point apparatus on the basis of a permissible area, which includes: an access point apparatus detection section for detecting usable access point apparatuses among a plurality of the access point apparatuses; and a permissible area calculation section that calculates the permissible area on the basis of the electric field strength, the frequency, and the frequency bandwidth of a radio wave transmitted from access point apparatuses (lag access point apparatuses) whose frequency bandwidth is overlapped with those of the usable access point apparatuses in addition to the electric field strength, the frequency, and the frequency bandwidth of a radio wave transmitted from the usable access point apparatuses. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a wireless LAN network manager to drastically reduce the work for securing safety. SOLUTION: A user PC2 is reads information about its own security and also acquires a profile including security information prepared by a manager side PC for managing access point setting at a profile acquiring/outputting part 71. When the security information included in the acquired profile is compared with the read information to find that the security information coincides with the read information, a communication setting part 74 uses the profile to set radio communication. Further, a state monitoring processing part 75 monitors a state of an expiration date, etc., when set by using the profile, and if profile update is determined to be required according to the monitored state, a data update processing part 76 prepares a profile including an update request and transmits the profile to a manager side PC. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of achieving the reduction of electric power consumption without degrading user-friendliness. SOLUTION: When, for example, an idle state continues for five minutes, a user is able to set an LCD panel so as to lower its refresh rate. The user is also able to set the LCD panel so as to lower the refresh rate when the residual capacity of a battery reaches 30% in addition to the case of the continuation of the idle state. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to connect to a predetermined access point at an optimum time even if the network name of the access point is hidden. SOLUTION: The apparatus is characterized by being provided with a connection list table 53 for storing identification information of a connectable network and information stored in association with the identification information, indicating that the access point for connecting to the network is a "hidden access point" which does not send its identification information; and an access point switching software 51 for confirming the connection by attempting to establish the connection to the "hidden access point" after obtaining the information from the connection list table 53, and obtaining the predetermined identification information by scanning the identification information for specifying the connection destination. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for protecting data suitable for a removable media by simplifying an operation in the encryption and decryption of data file. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with a user interface processing part 160 for accepting an ejection demand for an external storing device (storing medium) connected with a computer in PCMCIA and USB, an encryption processing start part 130 for encrypting a prescribed data file stored in the external storing device based on the condition that the ejection demand is accepted in the user interface processing part 160, a file management part 140, and an encryption processing part 150. The information processor is further provided with a device installation event detecting part 110 for detecting that the external storing device is connected with the computer. The encrypted data file stored in the external storing device is decrypted by the encryption processing start part 130 for encrypting, the file management part 140 and the encryption processing part 150. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a process coordinated with a built-in button by operation from an external input device. SOLUTION: The information processor 10 having the input device is provided with: an output part 205 outputting information from the information processor 10 to the outside; the built-in button 185 carrying out control of the output part 205 in response to input from the outside; a first input information receiving part 140 receiving external input information which is input information to a key from the external input device 50 having the key that is different from the built-in button 185; and a control process part 150 carrying out the same process as when the built-in button 185 is inputted when it is determined that the external input information matches with predetermined setting information.
