Abstract: PURPOSE: A connection device of an engine and a torque converter is provided to improve a continued ratio by restricting power transmission of the engine and the torque converter and to prevent shock and sudden start of a car. CONSTITUTION: A connection device of an engine and a torque converter includes a crank shaft of an engine, a housing of a torque converter, and a clutching part(21). The housing of the torque converter is formed at a front end opposed side of the crank shaft. The clutching part is disposed between the crank shaft and the housing to restrict power transmission between the housing and the crank shaft. The clutching part has a driving part(31) formed on the crank shaft, a slave driving part formed on the housing at an opposed side of the driving part, and a connection member(35). The connection member slides by an elastic member(37) and a solenoid(39) to restrict power transmission between the driving part and the slave driving part.
