PURPOSE: A memory module, a memory system including the same, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to give or receive an optical signal through optical windows formed on an PCB and a memory package. CONSTITUTION: A PCB(11) includes a first optical window formed on the surface and an embedded optical waveguide(13). A memory package includes a memory die and a second optical window(40). The memory die is mounted on a PCB and includes an optical input and output part. A second optical window is formed on the same line as the optical input and output part and the first optical window. The optical waveguide and the optical input and output part give or receive an optical signal through the first and second optical windows.

본 발명은 가시광 통신 시스템에서의 데이터 송수신 장치에 있어서, 수신 동작시 수광소자를 이용하여 상대방측으로부터 수신한 가시광 신호를 전기신호로 변환하여 출력하며, 송신 동작시 발광소자를 이용하여 정보를 담은 전기신호를 가시광 신호로 변환하여 상대방측으로 송신하는 가시광 송수신기(VLC Transceiver)와, 가시 프레임을 생성하여 가시광 송수신기로 출력하는 VEF(Visible Frame Engine)를 포함하며, 송신측 및 수신측에서 통신을 위한 각 프레임을 전송하지 않는 시간에 통신 링크에 가시성을 제공하기 위하여 VEF에서 가시 프레임(Visible Frame)을 생성하여 상대방 측으로 전송하는 가시광 컨트롤러(VLC controller)와, 가시광 컨트롤러를 제어하며 상기 가시광 컨트롤러와 데이터를 송수신하는 호스트 컨트롤러(Host controller)를 포함한다. 가시광 통신, VFE, ACK, 프리앰블, OSI, 가시 프레임(Visible Frame)

PURPOSE: An optical signal concentrator and an optical receiver using the same are provided to be applied for a portable apparatus with a minimized structure by forming a light guiding plate and a diffusion sheet with a vertically arranged planar shape. CONSTITUTION: A diffusion sheet(210) diffuses and outputs optical signal. A light guiding plate(230) is arranged under the diffusion sheet and receives the light from the diffusion sheet. The light signal is guided to a vertical direction with respect to a light incident direction by the light guiding plate. A light detection unit(250) is arranged on the lateral side of the light guiding unit and detects the light from the light guiding unit. A reflector(240) is arranged under the light guiding unit and reflects the light from the light guiding unit.

An apparatus and a method for arranging a communications link in a visible light communication so that a user see the visible light and arrange the communications link are provided to arrange the communications link through a structure of a frame. A transceiver transmits XID command frame to a secondary 1(501). The transceiver acquires the visibility filling up the visible field in a space of a time slot(503). A receiver 1 transmits an XID response frame in a response about the XID command frame(505). The receiver 1 acquires the visibility filling up the visible field in a space(507). The transceiver fills up the visibility filling up the time slot(511).

A communication link apparatus capable of maintaining visibility in the visible light communication and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to visually confirm the location and range of the visible light, thereby arranging a communication link. A transmitter transmits a frame for forming a communication link before data transmission to a receiver. The receiver transmits a response frame to the frame. The transmitter transmits a data frame including information to the receiver. The receiver transmits an Ack frame in response to the data frame to the transmitter. The transmitter transmits a termination frame to the receiver. The receiver transmits a termination Ack frame to the transmitter in response to the termination frame. The transmitter and receiver transmit visible sequences in the time slot when each frame for communication is not transmitted.

본 발명은 가시광 통신을 이용한 통신 링크 연결방법에 관한 것으로, 가시광 통신을 이용한 데이터 전송에 있어서 데이터를 전송하고자 하는 가시광 통신 장치에서 가시광 통신 모드를 활성화하는 과정과, 가시광 통신 장치에서 다른 가시광 통신 장치와의 통신 링크를 설정하기 위해 탐색하는 과정과, 다른 가시광 통신 장치로 데이터를 전송하기 위해 통신 링크를 요청하는 과정 및 다른 가시광 통신 장치로부터 데이터 전송 가능 여부의 응답을 수신하여 통신 링크 연결을 수행하는 과정을 포함한다. 통신 링크가 성립되기 전에 통신 링크 형성을 사용자가 쉽게 할 수 있으며, 가시광 통신 장치 간에 현재 어떤 상태의 통신이 수행 중인지에 대하여 사용자가 직접적으로 확인할 수 있다. 적외선, 통신, 링크, 가시광, 인터페이스.

A method for connecting a communication link by using visible light communication is provided to output a visible light signal at continuous or discontinuous time intervals for requesting the communication link, thereby facilitating the connection of the communication link and enabling a user to check the connection of the communication link directly. A method for connecting a communication link by using visible light communication comprises the following steps of: activating a visible light communication mode in a visible light communication apparatus to transmit data(S400); outputting a visible light signal at continuous or discontinuous time intervals for a user to arrange a communication link with the other visible light communication apparatus before setting the communication link(S410); requesting the communication link for transmitting the data to the other visible light communication apparatus(S430); and receiving a response with regard to whether the data an be transmitted from the other visible light communication apparatus to perform a communication link connection(S450).

An apparatus for controlling a colour of visible light emitted according to a current state in a visible light communication device and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to notify which communication is performed at the predetermined time. An apparatus for controlling a colour of visible light emitted according to a current state in a visible light communication device comprises a memory(240), a pulse generator(222), a modulator(232), a visible light communication transmitter(212) and a controller(200). The memory(240) matches communication states with colours of emitted light for expressing each communication state and stores the matched communication states. The pulse generator(222) generates a pulse signal matched with data for transmission and outputs the generated pulse signal. The modulator(232) modulates the inputted pulse signal into a signal proper for wireless optical communications. The visible light communication transmitter(212) outputs a visible light signal with a corresponding colour according to a colour control signal. The controller(200) checks a current communication state and the colour of the emitted light according to the current communication state when the user selects the visible light communication mode, and outputs the control signal of the colour of the emitted light to the visible light communication transmitter(212) for outputting the visible light signal with the checked colour of the emitted light.

A wavelength-division-multiplexed light source for transmitting broadband light through a fiber and receiving an optical signal through the fiber is disclosed. The wavelength-division-multiplexed light source includes: a light source for outputting broadband light; and a coupler for outputting the broadband light, which has been input from the light source, to the fiber through cross coupling, and outputting an optical signal, which has been input from the fiber, through bar coupling, based on a predetermined cross coupling ratio, wherein the cross coupling ratio of the coupler is adjusted depending on a power of the optical signal.
