Abstract: PURPOSE: A control system for hybrid vehicles is provided to offer the comfort to drivers by reducing jerk and surge phenomenon generated when stepping on an accelerator pedal. CONSTITUTION: A control system for hybrid vehicles comprises an accelerator pedal(160), a motor(110), a speed sensor(150),a control unit(180). The motor is driven according to an operation of the accelerator pedal and transfers torque to a drive wheel through an input shaft of a transmission(120). The speed sensor senses the speed of the input shaft and drive wheel. If the accelerating pedal pushes, 'the speed differential between the input shaft and the drive wheel' is sensed. The control unit detects speed differences between the drive wheel and the input shaft when the accelerator pedal is stepped and transfers out-of-phase to the input shaft through the motor.
