Abstract: PURPOSE: An air injection device is provided to enhance the output of an engine since compressed air is further supplied to a combustion chamber on a low speed and high load area. CONSTITUTION: An air injection device comprises a cylinder(10), an air intake pipe(30), a VCM(Variable Charge Motion) valve(40), an air injector(50), and a control unit. A first intake port(22) and a second intake port(14) communicate at the cylinder. The air intake pipe is connected to the first and second intake ports and consists of a first path(32) and second path(34) which are independent. The VCM valve controls the air flow to the second path. The air injector injects the compressed air into the second path. The control unit controls the operations of the VCM valve and the air injector.
