Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject liquid filter, safe in aspects of food sanitation and capable of instantaneously permeating hot water or water without falling off fine grains, etc., in the interior of a wrapping material by applying a specific amount of specified sucrose ester of a fatty acid to a nonwoven fabric composed of synthetic fiber. CONSTITUTION:A liquid filter composed of a fibrous material is obtained by applying, e.g. a monoester expressed by the formula (R is alkyl) and prepared by adding a fatty acid in an amount of 0.01-10wt.% based on the weight of fiber to a nonwoven fabric composed of synthetic fiber. The filter is safe in aspects of food sanitation, capable of instantaneously passing hot water or water and suitable as liquid extracting bags such as coffee bags or tea bags. Furthermore, a nonwoven fabric having >=5g/m basis weight and 10-500mum pore size or a melt blown nonwoven fabric having =5g/m basis weight, etc., according to the purpose of the liquid extracting bags can be exemplified as a preferred material for the nonwoven fabric.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a sudden rise in pressure loss and the propagation of fungi and to develop long-term air purifying effect by using a nonwoven fabric composed of a hydrophobic synthetic org. polymer with mean fineness of a specific value or less as the constitutional fiber of a filter. CONSTITUTION:A dripping air filter 14 is formed using a nonwoven fabric composed of a hydrophobic synthetic org. polymer as a constitutional fiber and the water pressure resistance thereof is 150mmHg or more and the mean fineness of the hydrophobic synthetic org. polymer is 0.1 denier or less. Anti-bacterial properties are pref. imparted to the nonwoven fabric and it is also extremely pref. to use an electret fiber nonwoven fabric always having static electricity. A dripping filter unit 12 consisting of the dripping air filter 14, a separator 15 and a frame 13 is arranged in the dripping air filter chamber 9 within an external purifier 2 or a re-purifier 3 to purify contaminated air in an excessive humidity state.
