Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain nonwoven cloth having excellent drawing and processing properties and excellent in printing property in base paper for heat-sensitive stencil printing obtained by laminating with an undrawn film and drawing by imparting respectively prescribed apparent density and orientation parameter R. SOLUTION: This nonwoven cloth is composed of polyester fibers comprising substantially continuous fiber yarns. In the nonwoven cloth, apparent density of the nonwoven cloth is 0.15-0.22 g/cm , preferably 0.16-0.2 g/cm and an orientation parameter (R) calculated from a laser Raman spectroscopic analysis of polyester fibers is 1.01-1.20, preferably 1.02-1.12. Further, an average fiber diameter of the nonwoven cloth is 5-15 μm, a fabric weight is 60-160 g/m and inherent viscosity (I.V.) is 0.45-0.65. Preferably, the nonwoven cloth is used as a supporter to prepare base paper for heat-sensitive stencil printing.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester fiber having high strength utility factor after twisted and subjected to heat set and not capable of being obtained by conventional public technologies and a method for producing the fiber by which the fiber can be obtained with high productivity. SOLUTION: This polyester fiber comprises a single yarn having at least one or more hollow parts in the fiber axis direction and simultaneously satisfies the following (1) to (4) conditions: (1) strength at break is >=6.0 cN/dtex; (2) elongation at break is 10-20%; (3) percentage of hollowness is 6-40%; and (4) peak temperature of tanδ by a measurement of dynamic viscoelasticity is =1,500 m/min in the method for producing the polyester fiber comprising cooling after carrying out melting extrusion of a polyester having >=0.8 intrinsic viscosity from a discharge spinneret installed to have a slitlike shape so as to form at least the one or more hollow parts in the cross section of the single yarn composing the discharged multifilament, adding an oil agent, then taking off by the take-off roller, drawing after or without once winding, and winding by a winder.

SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the webbing for a seat belt is characterized by weaving by using warp of polyester fiber which is formed of substantially ethylene terephthalate component and simultaneously satisfies inherent viscosity(IV) not less than 0.8, breaking strength (T) not less than 5.3 cN/dtex, breaking elongation (E) 10-25%, and a dry heat contraction percentage (ΔS) at 150 deg.C not less than 8%, and thereafter applying a limited heat contraction process. And the webbing for a seat belt manufactured by this manufacturing method has elongation 20-50% under 11.1 kN load.
