This is vulcanized onto an axial termination for attachment to the fixed part. The peripheral part of the washer is vulcanized onto a liaison ring on the plate. The drive is an eccentric (16, 18) driven around a vertical axis passing through the center of rotation and connected to the plate by a bearing. The plate has circular containers holding the sample tubes in a regular distribution around the center of rotation.
