Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for generating and consuming an audio scene for processing a reverberation sound by referencing a room impulse response is provided to process reverberation by directly referencing the room impulse response obtained through direct recording or software with use of an URL(Uniform Resource Locator) address. CONSTITUTION: An audio object is generated. Audio scene description information including reverberation characteristic information for processing the reverberation for the audio object with the room impulse response is generated. The reverberation characteristic information includes address description information for describing the URL address to reference the room impulse response.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for encoding and decoding digital audio are provided to remarkably improve a compression ratio while maintaining the similar quality of sound. CONSTITUTION: A down-sampler(100) receives a digital audio signal for down-sampling the digital audio signal 1/n time as large as the digital audio signal. An audio encoder(200) encodes the down-sampled audio signal by using a digital audio encoding method. A spectrum modeling unit(300) receives spectrum of the input digital audio signal and the down-sampled signal for modeling a frequency band incapable of being encoded, by using a gain value in a bark band between spectrums of compressed signals. A multiplexer(400) receives spectrum compensating bit stream obtained by encoding the gain value and encoding bit stream output from the audio encoder for multiplexing the bit streams to maintain the compatibility with a digital audio encoding standard for outputting a final bit stream.

PURPOSE: A method for generating and consuming a three-dimensional audio scene having a sound source of an extended spatial characteristic is provided to form effectively the three-dimensional sound by extending the spatial characteristic of a content sound source. CONSTITUTION: A generation process for generating a sound object is performed. The three-dimensional audio scene technique information including the sound source characteristic information for the sound object is generated. The sound source characteristic information includes the spatial extension information of the sound source as the intensity information and the shape information of the sound source expressed in the three-dimensional space. The spatial extension information of the sound source is expressed by an x-element, a y-element, and a z-element of three-dimensional coordinates.

The present invention relates to a data CODEC system for computer. The data CODEC system for computer comprises a system control software, a multichannel audio/speech and multimedia data signal processor, and a multichannel audio/speech and multimedia data input-output unit. The system control software communicates multichannel audio/speech and multimedia data with the multichannel audio/speech and multimedia data signal processor according to control of various application programs. The multichannel audio/speech and multimedia data signal processor processes multichannel audio/speech and multimedia data. The multichannel audio/speech and multimedia data input-output means inputs/outputs multichannel audio/speech and multimedia data from/to an external system.

PURPOSE: A multi channel audio multiplexing device and a method of multi media are provided to perform a sampling considering the band width of respective audio input signal and then convert/multiplex plural audio signals into one sampling frequency, thereby preventing the coding performance. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises 4 audio receivers(201-204), a clock selecting/multiplexing device(206) and a sampling frequency converter(205). The 4 audio receivers(201-204) receive digital/analog stereo input signal. The clock selecting/multiplexing device(206) selects the clocks obtained from the audio receivers(201-204) and an externally applied clock. The frequency converter(205) converts the sampling frequency of received audio data using the selected clock. The clock selecting/multiplexing device(206) selects only effective data from the converted audio data to multiplex the effective data.

본 발명은 멀티채널의 오디오 신호를 버퍼를 통하여 입력하고, 고속 디지탈 신호처리기(DSP)를 이용하여 오디오 신호를 압축 부호화하고, 결과로서 만들어진 부호화된 오디오 데이타를 버퍼를 통하여 외부로 출력하는 기능을 가지며, 멀티채널 오디오의 저장 및 방송에 효과적으로 사용될 수 있다.
