    Abstract: La invencion se refiere a compuesto de 2-ciano-3-(halo)alcoxi- bencenosulfonamidas I (ver formula I) donde las variables Alk y R1 hasta R5 tienen las definiciones indicadas en la reivindicacion 1, y/o sus sales utiles en la agricultura. Ademas, la presente invencion se refiere: - al uso de los compuestos I y/o sus sales para combatir pestes animales; - a composiciones agricolas,que comprenden una cantidad de por lo menos un compuesto de 2-ciano-3-(halo)alcoxi-bencenosulfonamida de la formula I y/o por lo menos una sal util en la agricultura de I y por lo menos un soporte inerte liquido y/o solido, agronomicamente aceptable, que sea suficiente para tener un efecto pesticida y, en caso de desearlo, por lo menos un tensoactivo; y - a un metodo para combatir pestes animales, que comprende contactar los pestes animales, su habitat, sitio de incubacion, suministro de comida, planta, semillas, el suelo, area, material o medio ambiente donde los pestes animales crecen o pueden crecer, o los materiales, plantas, semillas, suelos, superficies o espacios a proteger frente al ataque o la infestacion por lo animales con una cantidad efectiva pesticida de por lo menos un compuesto de 2-ciano-3-(halo)alcoxi-bencenosulfonamida de la formula I y/o por lo menos una sal aceptable en la agricultura del mismo. - a un metodo para proteger las semillas frente a insectos en el suelo y los resultantes raices y vastagos frente a los insectos del suelo o insectos de las hojas, que consiste en contactar las semillas antes de su siembra y/o despues de la pregerminacion con un compuesto de 2-ciano-3-(halo)alcoxi-bencenosulfonamida de la formula general I.
