Abstract: The invention concerns a process for preparing oxidation products from cyclohexane by catalytic oxidation with oxygenous gases in the liquid phase. In a reaction zone the gases are brought substantially uniformly into contact with the oxygenous gases, and liquid cyclohexane and the oxygenous gases are passed in counterflow through the reaction zone.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the epoxidation of an organic compound comprising at least one C-C double bond, using hydrogen peroxide in the presence of at least one catalytically active compound and at least one solvent. Said method is characterised in that a product mixture containing .alpha.-hydroperoxy alcohols is reduced using at least one reductant. The invention also relates to a method for the epoxidation of an organic compoun d comprising at least one C-C double bond, using hydrogen peroxide in the presence of at least one catalytically active compound and at least one solvent, characterised in that said method comprises at least the following steps: (i) an organic compound comprising at least one C-C double bond is reacted with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of at least one catalytically active compound and at least one solvent to obtain a product mixture P1 containing .alpha.-hydroperoxy alcohols; (ii) an epoxide that has been obtained by the reaction in step (i) is separated from P1 or P1', together with the non-converted organic compound comprising at least one C-C double bond, to obtain a product mixture P2 or P2', P2 containing the .alpha.- hydroperoxy alcohols that have occurred as by-products in the reaction in st ep (i) and P2' being substantially devoid of .alpha.-hydroperoxy alcohols. (iii ) at least one reductant is added to P1 and/or P2, whereby the .alpha.- hydroperoxy alcohols are converted into corresponding glycols, obtained in a product mixture P1' or P3.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of propylene oxide, whereby (i) propylene is reacted with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of methanol to form propylene oxide, resulting in a mixture (Gi), comprising propylene oxide, methanol, water and unreacted hydrogen peroxide, (ii) from mixture (Gi) a mixture (Gii), comprising methanol, water and hydrogen peroxide is separated off, yielding a mixture (Ga), comprising propylene oxide. Water is separated off from mixture (Gii) to give a mixture (Giii), comprising methanol and methyl formate.
