Abstract: PURPOSE: The reaction between a hydrolyzate of a zirconium compound and a water-soluble barium salt is carried out in a strong alkali aqueous solution to enable inexpensive production of fine particles of BaZrO
3 with uniform activity.
CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble Ba salt such as Ba(NO
3 )
2 is added to an aqueous solution of a hydrolyzate of a Zr compound such as ZrCl
4 so that the Ba/Zr molar ratio becomes more than about 0.7 to form a solution. Then, the solution is adjusted in pH to about 13.6 using an aqueous solution of a strong base such as KOH. The reaction is effected under stirring the turbid suspension, then the precipitate is filtered, washed with water and dried. The process gives uniform, spherical particles of BaZrO
3 of about 2W3 micrometer particle sizes. The resultant fine particles of BaZrO
3 are most suitably used as a transparent ceramic for condensers.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a high-quality crystal without forming foreign materials on the crystal surface and preventing the surface oxidation, by using a mixture of inert gas and oxygen having a specific concentration as the atmospheric gas in the growth of the crystal, and cooling the crystal at a specific crystal temperature while substituting the atmospheric gas with an inert gas.
CONSTITUTION: A desired crystal is grown by heating and melting the raw material 7 for the crystal growth by the direct heating e.g. with infrared radiation 12. In the above process, a mixture of oxygen gas and an inert gas having a partial pressure ratio of oxygen of ≤50% is used as an atmospheric gas. The temperature of the crystal 13 during growth in the growth apparatus 1 is maintained at ≥1,000°C, and the grown crystal is cooled by at least partially substituting the atmosphere with an inert gas before or around the completion of the growth or is cooled in a substituted atmosphere to obtain a ferrite.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality display effect, by settling down balls, which are covered with coatings insoluble in a liquid and soluble in a high-resistance organic liquid, in the liquid to form an accumulation layer and charging high polymer materials soluble in the liquid and removing the sheet-shaped coating obtained by eliminating the liquid and arranging display balls most closely. Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent the occurrence of the deterioration and cracks of a grown crystal, by annealing a grown single crystal part with an auxiliary heating means in a seed crystal growing apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A seed crystal of a single crystal is mounted on a platinum plate 78 at the tip of a rotating and driving shaft 72, and a raw polycrystalline material 83 is mounted on a rotating and driving shaft 73. The rotating and driving shafts 72 and 73 are set to position a joined part of the seed crystal to the polycrystalline material 83 at a focus (E2) of an infrared heating chamber 2, and the joined part is heated to be a molten state by infrared rays 5 from a lamp 3. The rotating and driving shafts 72 and 73 are lowered slowly while rotated and driven mutually in the opposite directions, and a molten part 84 of a material 4 to be treated is relatively lifted. Thus, a single crystal part 80 is grown under the molten part 84 and then introduced into a heat generating part 14 of the subheater 13 gradually and annealed. The heat generating part 14 is connected to an electrode 58 through an inserting hole 56 provided in a support 55.

CONSTITUTION:Resin forming the base of a compound material consists of unsaturated polyester resin and thermoplastic resin, which are normally mixed by being dissolved in a cross-linking agent (polymerizable monomer) of unsaturated polyester resin. In this case, 20-70vol% unsaturated polyester and 1- 25vol% thermosetting resin are used. Further, preferably 30-70vol% polymerizable monomer is contained in the solution. The content of this resin is 35- 60vol% to the whole of the resin composite.

The addn. of Ru decreases the magnetostriction constant and this compsn improves the working resistance and toughness, thereby reducing a fluctuation in effective permeability before and after resin molding. This alloy can be rolled to stably manufacture tough straight foil.
