PURPOSE: An electro-wetting display is provided to improve image resolution, reflectivity and color gamut by making a light incident on an upper substrate be reflected from a colored non-conductive fluid without absorption and refraction in a colorless conductive fluid. CONSTITUTION: An upper structure and a lower structure are faced with each other. A hydrophobic insulation film (37) covers a lower surface of the upper structure. Hydrophilic partitions (21) define a pixel region between the hydrophobic insulation film and the lower structure. A colorless conductive fluid (23) and a colored non-conductive fluid (25) are filled in pixel regions. The specific gravity of the colored non-conductive fluid is smaller than the specific gravity of the colorless conductive fluid.

PURPOSE: A security monitoring system using a beam forming acoustic imaging process and a security monitoring method using the same are provided to create a signal in an audible sound wave range which has high transmission efficiency, thereby reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A sound generating apparatus(110) creates a sound signal. A plurality of sound measurement systems(120) receives the sound signal. An acoustic image processing device creates a sound image using the sound signal. The acoustic image processing device determines intruder(130) location information by comparing the sound images before and after an intrusion is detected.

PURPOSE: A method for forming devices having plastic substrates is provided to improve the thermal stability and physical property of a plastic substrate by performing a thermal treatment process of the plastic substrate after a molding process. CONSTITUTION: A method for forming devices having plastic substrates is as follows. A plastic substrate(200) is formed. The plastic substrate comprises a polymer having glass transition temperature(Tg). The plastic substrate is thermally treated in the heat higher than (Tg-150)°C and lower than (Tg+100)°C. The heat-treated plastic substrate is applied to the device.

A method and a device for detecting a forged face image are provided to increase reliability and security of a face recognition system by detecting the forged face image captured through a camera without any additional equipment while reducing memory usage and calculating complexity. An image obtainer(610) obtains a face image continuously. A normalizer(620) normalizes size and lighting of the face image based on the center between two eyes of the obtained face image. An extractor(630) performs a binary process by extracting an eye area from the regulated face image. A detector(640) detects a forged face image by calculating change quantity of the binary eye area and comparing a threshold value with the calculated change quantity. The normalizer includes a slope compensator(621) compensating a slope of the image based on the slope of a segment connecting two eyes, and a clipper(623) clipping a predetermined size of the compensated face area and sampling/outputting the clipped face area.
