    Abstract: PURPOSE: A shock absorbing apparatus of a head lamp for a vehicle is provided to buffer impact and prevent injury by sliding and pulling the head lamp back in bumping the lower body into the head lamp at a collision. CONSTITUTION: A slide bracket(10) has a slot hole(12), and two radiator supporting side members(18) connect radiator supporting upper and side members(14,16). The front of the slide bracket is fixed in the radiator supporting side member, and the rear part of the slide bracket is fixed in both sides of the side member. A supporting bar(20) including a rotating groove is installed in the front of the side member, and an installation bracket(32) is mounted in a head lamp(30). The installation bracket is connected to the slot hole of the slide bracket by an assembling unit. A rotating ball(34) is integrally formed in the lower part of the head lamp, and inserted to the rotating groove of the supporting bar. Injury is prevented with sliding and pulling back the head lamp at a collision.

A fitting hole(34) is formed in the middle of the first bush to insert the trailing arm, and a first groove(32) is formed around the fitting hole. The second bush is inserted to the front end of the trailing arm, and tightened with a nut(38) in inserting a washer(30). Tension force or compressive force is reduced with first and second bushes in braking or bumping. The vehicle is stabilized with preventing deformation of the first bush by assembling the first groove with the protrusion of the installation bracket.
