    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pyrometer which is suitable for measuring a temperature especially inside a gas turbine. SOLUTION: A pyrometer 20 is provided with a flexible light-guide measuring probe 21 which comprises a microlens 22 resistant to a high temperature and an optical fiber 24 which is composed of quartz or sapphire. The microlens 22 and the fiber 24 are provided with gold sheaths 25, 26 and/or protective capillaries 27, 28. A thermal radiation is evaluated by a detector 32 in a remote place. The detector 32 is provided with a measuring circuit 33 which is connected to it. The pyrometer 20 is distribguished by its compactness, its high- temperature performance, its flexibility, its multidirectional installation property and its high measuring accuracy.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanically stable electric discharge reactor easy to be manufactured by employing at least a firm block of a continuously foamed material as a dielectric filling material for an electric discharge gap between a pair of electrodes. SOLUTION: This electric discharge reactor comprises a first electrode 1 and a second electrode 2 and a voltage supply source 3 installed adjacently to the electrodes 1, 2. The gap between the electrodes 1, 2 is filled with one layer of a filling material which is a firm and continuously foamed material and the filling material has a function of a dielectric body capable of suppressing micro electric discharge. The continuously foamed material is preferably formed into a solid block 4 shape to be installed between the electrodes 1, 2. Consequently, when a gas flows through the gap between the electrodes 1, 2 in the direction shown as an arrow, a desired chemical reaction is induced in the pores of the block 4 by flowing silent discharge to treat a gas and isolate desired products.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pressure collision in a burner by greatly effectively stabilizing flame in a lean premixing burner compared with conventional pilot flame. SOLUTION: In a method for operating a gas turbo-device, the gas turbo- device comprises a compressor 1, a combustor 5, a turbine 2 and a generator 3. Fuel is mixed with air compressed by the compressor 1 before combustion in a premixer 18 of the combustor 5 and is burned in the combustion room 19. Compressed air supplied via a partial air introduction pipe 15 is mixed with fuel supplied via a partial fuel introduction pipe 16 and is introduced into a reactor 10 coated by a catalyst. Fuel-air mixture is transformed into synthetic gas including hydrogen, carbon monoxide, remaining air and remaining fuel and the synthetic gas is injected into an area in the combustion room 5 where flame is stable.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current limiter which has a high-temperature conductor simply and at a low price. SOLUTION: To manufacture a composite conductor 1 and 3, a silver foil 1 is put on a powder layer consisting of 2mm thick MgO on one side, and it is covered with a 600μm thick green sheet containing a high-temperature superconductor powder and an organic coupling agent on the other side. After fusion of the high-temperature superconductor, a 200μm thick glass or carbon fiber/epoxy resin layer is applied by vacuum impregnation to at least one side of the composite conductor 1 and 3 for its mechanical stabilization. To manufacture a resistant current limiter, a plate-shaped current limiting element having specified layer structure is cut in meander shape and besides two layers are bonded or pressed after interposition of cooling member as occasion demands. An inductive current limiter can be obtained by bending such a flexible plate, and besides, brazing a ring gap 9 with a metallic strip 5 consisting of silver.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recirculating zone to act at a plane region of a cross section jumping part by a method wherein a mixing pipe to which recirculation is carried out by a swirling flow is connected at a downstream side of an indoor section, its mixing pipe is moved to a combustion chamber trough the cross section jumping part and the cross section jumping part is formed by a front wall. SOLUTION: A swirling flow 23 composed of air/fuel mixture flows into a mixing pipe 21 connected to a flowing-out side of a swirling flow generating device 10 without forming any inverse flow region so as to perform a predetermined mixing operation. In addition, a front surface wall 25 having a plurality of openings is arranged at an end surface side to face toward a combustion chamber, wherein an amount of air is directly flowed into an edge region at a cross section jumping part. At the region of the cross section jumping part, voltex collapse caused by the swirling flow lower than a critical state formed at this location is formed and then an recirculating zone 32 is induced. Ignition is carried out at the extremity end of the recirculating zone 32. That is, a stable flame front is formed only at this location.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily convey or deliver a heating member into or out of a Deglor furnace by supporting an outer flange of a protective tube by an inner flange of a protective sleeve in a ceiling of the Deglor furnace, associating the member with the Deglor furnace, and then incorporating a length for projecting from ceiling bricks in the sleeve. SOLUTION: The heating member 1 is surrounded by a protective tube 2, and an electrically heating rod 3 is disposed in the tube 2. The tube 2 is formed of nitride, oxide or carbide hi-tech ceramics. A first end of the tube 2 closed by its circular top is projected into the Deglor furnace, while a second open end of the tube 2 has an outer flange at its outside. A protective sleeve 7 is surrounded by ceiling bricks 9 useful to heat insulate at its outer surface. The end of the sleeve 7 is opened, and its end is projected from a ceiling of the Deglor furnace. That is, the sleeve 7 is formed longer than a thickness of the brick 9.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding-head bandage with a large preload and good strength, in spite of its extremely small thickness. SOLUTION: In a winding-head bandage 19 for a rotor 1 in an electric apparatus, a fiber band 15 made up of plastic matrix and fiber material buried in the plastic matrix is turned around a winding head. The plastic matrix of the fiber band 15 is made of a thermoplastic resin. The fiber band 15 is pulled out using a rewinding device 16 and mounted around the winding head 20 through a head piece 10 with a heating unit 14. When the fiber band 15 is mounted, at least one side of the fiber band 15 opposite to the winding head is heated by the heating unit 14 at a temperature above the melting point of the plastic matrix. Then, the fiber band is turned around the winding head and cooled at a temperature below the melting point of the plastic matrix.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable combustion accompanied by only a small amount of poisonous substances over a whole load range of a gas turbine by opening at least one other supply path for a part of a liquid to be atomized to a turbulent flow chamber and supplying the part of the liquid in a twisted state under a pressurized condition through the supply path. SOLUTION: A second tube 35 having a diameter smaller than that of a first tube 31 is inserted in the first tube 31 and the second tube 35 reaches a cone-shaped cover 32 to be brought into contact with the cover 32. An end portion of the second tube 35 has four slots 38 set in a tangential direction and the four slots are in communication with a chamber 39 functioning as a whirling chamber, wherein a whirling flow is generated in a liquid 37 flowing into the chamber through an annular chamber 36 to be atomized. The chamber 39 is defined by a filling material 40 fixed in an interior of the second tube 39. Four paths 41 for supplying the liquid 37 to be atomized are arranged in the filling material 40, and the supply paths allow the liquid 37 to flow into the chamber 39 in a state of being not twisted and the chamber 39 functions as a turbulent flow chamber.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a flame, improve a combustion efficiency and reduce the exhaust of a toxic material by shifting upstream a fuel nozzle relative to a conical end part generated by the part member of a premix burner. SOLUTION: A fuel nozzle 103 is retracted upstream relative to an starting end part 125 conical in cross-section of flow, so that the opening 104 of the fuel nozzle 103 is located within a range between peripheral walls 101a and 102a fixed to a head side. A fuel spray 105 enters a range covered with a main current of combustion air entering the inner chamber 114 of a premix burner owing to the retraction and is decomposed into liquid drops. The entry of fuel air 115 to the fuel spray 105 improves the quality of mixture. A radially arranged opening 124 is provided in a range on the plane of the fuel spray opening 104 so that a flushing air is supplied. The fuel spray 105 improves an air mass flow passing through the opening 124 as a fuel injection pump and suppresses the flash back of a flame.

The transfer passage 20 serves to move a flow 40 formed in the turning flow producer 100a into a pipe 20 placed on the downstream side of the transfer passage 201, and a fuel nozzle 103 serves as a means to inject and introduce a fuel into the combustion air. The fuel nozzle is displaced to the upstream side by a predetermined interval with respect to a start end of the turning flow producer 100a.
