According to the input, a remote control device outputs a plurality of user interfaces available one by one in order for controlling a selected function(220). The remote control device controls the device with one among a plurality of outputted user interfaces(230).

PURPOSE: A light emitting module is provided to function as the device of a high density-line light source by optimizing the arrangement structure of a light emitting chip and a connector. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting module(100) includes a printed circuit board(101), a plurality of light emitting diode chips(102) and a connector(104). The light emitting diode chips are spaced apart on the wiring pattern of the printed circuit board. The connector is electrically connected to the light emitting diode chips. The connector is formed on the lower side of the printed circuit board. The light emitting diode chips are arranged in one direction.

PURPOSE: A portable device and a method for controlling the same are provided to prevent dangerous situation by determining the temperature of the portable device, the battery, and the external atmosphere. CONSTITUTION: A temperature determining unit(102) determines the temperature of a portable device, a battery, and an external atmosphere. A power unit(106) receives the power from the battery and applies the power to the portable device. A central processor(104) controls the power unit to break the power of the portable device based on the temperature determined by the temperature determining unit. If the external atmospheric temperature is above the preset temperature, the central processor controls the power unit to block the power of the portable device.

PURPOSE: A remote control device, an operation mode setting method and a host apparatus determination method by using angle are provided to operate the operation mode corresponding to the angle by detecting the angle about a particular reference shaft. CONSTITUTION: An angle detector(210) establishes the direction of the front-end of the remote control device as the reference axis. If the remote control equipment revolves, the angle detective unit detects the rotation angle formed by the front-end of the remote control equipment and reference axis. A controller(250) controls the active mode corresponding to the rotation angle.

PURPOSE: A control device and a control method are provided to display a generated menu on the basis of media included in devices within a home network. CONSTITUTION: A media information collecting unit(110) collects information about media which are processed by a device in a home network. A control unit(120) generates a task list for an executable task on the basis of collected information. A display unit(130) displays the generated task list. The display unit displays the task by using an icon corresponding to the kind of the media when the kind of the media is included in the collected information.

An apparatus and a method for performing partial handover in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to improve the communication quality of a terminal located in a cell boundary and increase the flexibility of resource utilization. An active set management unit(527) manages resource situation of adjacent base stations and reception signal strength threshold value information of each service. If a reception signal strength received from a serving base station is lower than a certain threshold value, a message generator(531) generates a connection request message for connecting the first service corresponding to the certain threshold value via an adjacent base station. A service connection controller(529) controls to connect the first service via the adjacent base station and connect the second service via the serving base station. The active set management unit updates the resource situation and the reception signal strength threshold value information of each service according to a message broadcast from the adjacent base station.

A mobile terminal and a method for automatically selecting an image capture mode are provided to allow a user to capture an image with good picture quality by informing the user about an optimum image capture distance in an image capture mode. A controller checks whether a camera mode is requested(S110). When the camera mode is requested, the controller changes the operation mode of a mobile terminal to a camera mode for capturing an image of a subject(S120). The controller controls a distance measuring unit so as to measure the distance between a subject and a camera(S130). The controller automatically selects an image capture mode according to the measured distance(S140). The controller checks whether a shutter key is inputted to capture an image(S150). When a shutter key is inputted, the controller captures an image of a subject in the selected image capture mode(S160).

A sub-channel allocation apparatus and method in a wireless communication system are provided to reduce a signaling overhead and increase a system throughput by reducing the system overhead. A movement speed measuring unit(501) measures a movement speed of terminals. A resource allocation period determining unit(503) selects each terminal to which sub-channel are to be allocated, and determines a resource allocation period for allocating sub-channels to the terminals. An average data amount calculating unit(505) receives the determined resource allocation period and calculates an average amount of data to be transmitted to each terminal. A resource allocating unit(507) allocates sub-channels such that the average amount of data is satisfied in consideration of channel quality information of the terminals. A transmitting unit(509) generates a control signal according to the sub-channel allocation and transmits it to the terminals.

A method and an apparatus for forming an image by using a template written in an XHTML(eXtensible Hypertext Markup Language)-print content are provided to process image data given to an image forming apparatus by using the template written in an XHTML-print content to allow a user to select various output formats. A template written in an XHTML-print content is selected(S300). The selected template and image data provided to an image forming apparatus are combined with each other to generate composite data(S310). The composite data is converted into printing data(S320), and the printing data is printed to form an image(S360).
