    Abstract: Organopolysiloxanes (I) contg. units of formula (II) are claimed. In (II), R = -(CH2)-2 -CHMe-; X = Cl, Br, CH2Cl, PPh2, CH2PPh2. (II) are linked through -O- with other units (II) and/or MO4/2, R1MO3/2, (R1)2MO2/2, AlO3/2, or R1A102/2 (in which R1 = Me or Et, and M = Si, Ti, or Zr) and/or units (II) with X = H. The ratio of Si atoms in all units (II) to atoms M or Al is from 1:0 to 1:15. (I) are prepd. from organopolysiloxanes contg. units (II) (with X = H), linked as above, by substn. of a ring-H atom using a reagent (III) in a solvent at -78 to +200 deg.C for a few mins. to several days. After sepn., or distn. of solvent, the prod. is washed, dried at 200 deg.C and, opt., annealed for 1 hr. 5 days at 100-400 deg.C, then milled and/or classified. Specifically, (III) is Cl2, Br2, MeOCH2Cl, EtOCH2Cl, formaldehyde or its Me-or Et- acetal of paraformaldehyde with HCl, and LiPPh2, or KPPh2.

    Abstract: In order to produce matee precious metal decorations on carriers of ceramics and porcelain, before applying bright precious metal preparations, the carrier is first provided with a base layer composed of: (a) 50 to 80% by weight of a mixture of (aa) 50 to 80% by weight of a lead-free borosilicate glazed frit with (bb) 20 to 70% by weight of titanium dioxide powder and (b) 20 to 50% by weight of a mixture of (aa) 40 to 60% by weight of a modified alkyd resin having an oil content of 20 to 40% by weight and a solid content of 40 to 60% by weight and (bb) 40 to 60% by weight of an aromatic hydrocarbon.

    Abstract: Mixtures of sulfurous triazine compounds and methods of preparing these compounds with the general formula I in which R1, R2=H,R2=benzyl, R2, R3, R4=C1-C8-alkyl, allyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, the latter unsubstituted or substituted with 1-3 methyl groups, 2-hydroxyethyl, 3-hydroxypropyl, 2-hydroxypropyl or R3 and R4 (together): C4-C6-alkylene, -(CH2-CHX)2 Y with X=H, CH3, Y=O,S, Sa: Polysulfide chain with 2-10 S atoms (i.e. 2 I in which R1, R2, R3, R4 have the meanings indicated above is reacted with an ammonium polysulfide or alkali polysulfide and dissolved in a protic polar solvent, especially water, at a temperature of 80 DEG to 140 DEG C.
