Abstract: PURPOSE:A hair treatment capable of providing hairs with tension and tenacity, having improved felling in use, comprising a keratin substance decomposition derivative, a cationic polymer, and an organic salt, inorganic salt having a specified water solubility and/or urea in specific ratios respectively. CONSTITUTION:A hair treatment comprising three components of (A) 0.05- 10wt% keratin substance decomposition derivative selected from a hydrolyzate of a keratin substance, an oxidative decomposition product of a keratin substance, and a derivative at a thiol group of a reductive decomposition product of a keratin substance, (B) 0.05-10wt% cationic polymer, and (C) 0.01-10wt% compound selected from a organic salt, inorganic salt, having a water solubility in 100g water at 25 deg.C of >=1g and urea, such as aluminum sulfate, barium chloride, caclium carbonate, calcium chloride, magnesium nitrate, magnesium sulfate, copper sulfate, potassium phosphate, potassium thiocyanate, etc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled composition that contains a keratin decomposition product, thus inhibiting the deterioration of hairs caused by permament wave treatment, giving good touch to hairs and showing high retention of permanent waves. CONSTITUTION:At least one of keratin decomposition derivatives, selected from hydrolyzate of keratin such as wool, hairs or feather, oxidative decomposition and thiol derivatives of reductive decomposition product of formulaIor II is added to the second permanent wave solution by 0.01-10wt%. Although the detrioration of hairs with the first solution cannot be avoided, because S-S bonds in hairs are reductively cleavaged, the addition of the resultant keratin decomposition derivative to the second solution protects hair from being deteriorated by eluation of protein and aminoacids. Further, the combination with an anionic surfactant also gives good results.

3 H, at the thiol group of a reductive decomposition product of the keratinous material in an amount of 0.01W10wt% based on the total composition, and an anionic, nonionic, ampholytic surfactant, etc. other than a cationic active agent. The addition of the decomposition derivative of the keratinous material provides a hair rinse agent having more improved hair conditioning effect. Wool, hair or feather is preferred as the keratinous material, and if necessary pretreated such as cut, pulverized, washed, degreased, etc. and then decomposed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:A composition that is composed of a hydrolyzate of keratin, an alkali salt of an oxidative decomposition product or an alkali salt of a thiol derivative of a reductive decomposition product and further a cationic polymer, thus giving wet feeling to washed hair. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition comprises (A) a derivative of decomposed product of keratin and/or (B) a cationic polymer. Since the composition contains component A that has high adsorbability to hair, the moisture retention of the hair is increased by its synergism with other polar groups to finish hair with good humidity and give good conditioning effect without heavy feeling. The component A is, e.g., hydrolyzate to keratin, an alkali salt of oxidative decomposition product or an alkali salt of thiol derivative of reductive decomposition product. The component B is, e.g., a polymer of diallyl quaternary ammonium salt.

CONSTITUTION:(A) 15-55wt% vinyl monomer containing amino group expressed by the formula (X is O or NH; R1 is H or CH3; R2 is 1-4C alkylene; R3 and R4 are 1-18C alkyl), e.g. diethylaminoethyl methacrylate, is copolymerized with (B) 10-60wt% acrylic or methacrylic ester of a 1-3C aliphatic alcohol, (C) 5-50wt% acrylic or methacrylic ester of a 4-18C aliphatic alcohol and (D) 5-40wt% vinyl monomer containing a hydroxy group in a hydrophilic solvent, and the resultant copolymer is then neutralized with a water-soluble acidic substance to give a composition having curl retaining power even at high temperature and humidity for a long time, good finishing feeling, and particularly suitable for an aerosol hairdressing.
