Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for managing uplink scheduling for one or more user equipment served by a network entity in a wireless communications system are presented. For instance, an example method is presented that includes generating, by the network entity, an uplink bandwidth allocation map, the uplink bandwidth allocation map defining an uplink bandwidth allocation for at least one of the one or more user equipment for at least one of a plurality of uplink transmission window lengths. In addition, the example method includes transmitting the uplink bandwidth allocation map to at least one of the one or more user equipment.

Abstract: Contention-based uplink communications within a wireless communications system are provided in which a user equipment (UE) may transmit data to a base station autonomously, and thereby reduce delay with established procedures for allocating uplink resources to a UE. A base station may allocate contention-based uplink resources from a set of available uplink resources. A UE may determine that data is to be transmitted using contention-based uplink resources, identify available contention-based resources allocated by the base station, and may autonomously transmit the data using the allocated contentionbased resources. The contention-based uplink resources may include a subset of available physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources. The contention-based PUSCH resources may include allocated bins, and a UE may select CB-PUSCH resources from one of the bins for transmission of the uplink data.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may employ a multiplexing configuration based on latency and efficiency considerations. The base station may transmit a resource grant, a signal indicating the length of a downlink (DL) transmission time interval (TTI), and a signal indicating the length of a subsequent uplink (UL) TTI to one or more user equipment (UEs). The base station may dynamically select a new multiplexing configuration by, for example, setting the length of an UL TTI to zero or assigning multiple UEs resources in the same DL TTI. Latency may also be reduced by employing block feedback, such as block hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. A UE may determine and transmit HARQ feedback for each transport block (TB) of a set of TBs, which may be based on a time duration of a downlink TTI.

The techniques may further include coordinating, by a first eNB, multiconnectivity communication for a UE with at least the first eNB and a second eNB; determining for the UE, at the eNB, an allocation of uplink transmit power between the first eNB and at least the second eNB; and transmitting an indication including the allocation of uplink transmit power allocation from the first eNB to the UE.
