Abstract: The present invention relates to a door step device for a vehicle including: a rack gear part extended from a step panel in such a manner as to be inserted into the vehicle, and having a locking groove formed on the side thereof; a pinion gear part disposed inside the vehicle by means of a rotary shaft, coupled to the rack gear, and rotating by receiving power from a driving motor; a tilting operating part having a protruding pin protruding from a point separated backward by a given distance from the pinion gear inside the vehicle to be locked to the locking groove of the rack gear to provide the rotating center of the rack gear, and a solenoid controlling the protruding of the protruding pin; and a controller controlling the driving motor upon the operation of the step panel to allow the rack gear to be drawn from the vehicle and controlling the solenoid to allow the rack gear and the step panel to be tilted toward the ground.
