PURPOSE: A multimedia service providing system in a communication system and method thereof are provided to offer various multimedia services to a user in real time by rapidly transmitting information acquired by multi-points. CONSTITUTION: A reception unit(210) receives information sensed by multi-points from the multi-points for reality effects and the scene representation of multimedia content. Creation units(220, 230) creates event data and device command data corresponding to the sensed information. A transmission unit(240) encodes the device command data to binary representation. The transmission unit transmits the encoded device command data to user devices.

PURPOSE: A rich media regenerating terminal, content reconfiguration apparatus, rich media social network service method, and system thereof are provided to supply a social network service through a rich media technique including various media. CONSTITUTION: A content reproduction unit(210) reproduces first rich media social network content. A media input unit(220) receives a media object about the first rich media social network content. A media transmitting unit(230) transmits an inputted media object to a content reconfiguration unit. A content generator(240) includes the inputted media object to the first rich media social network content.

PURPOSE: A contents authoring/reproducing apparatus and method including an MPEG-2 TS with the use of a scene descriptor are provided to transmit a scene to the contents player of a receiver without a compatibility problem. CONSTITUTION: A media input unit(110) receives a plurality of MPEG-2 transport streams. A scene authoring unit(130) composes a scene related to the plurality of MPEG-2 transport streams with a scene descriptor. A file encoder(140) encodes the plurality of MPEG-2 transport streams and the composed scene into a media file including a moov box part including structure information and a mdat box part including real media which are rendered at a corresponding time according to the composed scene.

PURPOSE: A widget playing device and method is provided to easily use the widget by receiving the segment widget contents from the widget server and playing the widget contents when the change request for the segment widget contents is received. CONSTITUTION: A widget converter(103) receives a first based widget contents from the widget server and converts to a second based widget contents. A playing engine(105) plays the converted widget contents. When the change request for the segment widget contents, which is included in a part of the played widget contents, the controller(107) receives the segment widget contents from the widget server. The controller plays the widget contents including the received segment widget contents through the playing engine.

CONSTITUTION: According to a type attribute, structured information(110) is updated. According to information described in scene presentation data, the structured information is updated. The structured information is updated based on the type attribute included in an externalUpdate element supporting the update of the structured information.

본 발명은 디지털 멀티미디어 방송에서 예측을 통한 데이터 다중화 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 디지털 멀티미디어 방송 장치로부터 입력된 전송 스트림 내의 빈 패킷 영역의 분석을 통해 다음에 입력될 전송 스트림 내의 빈 패킷 영역을 예측하고 예측된 빈 패킷 영역에 부가 데이터를 삽입함으로써, 데이터 다중화에 의한 지연 시간을 줄일 수 있으며 더 나아가 전송 대역폭을 효율적으로 이용할 수 있게 하는, 디지털 멀티미디어 방송에서 예측을 통한 데이터 다중화 장치 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은 디지털 멀티미디어 방송에서 예측을 통한 데이터 다중화 장치에 있어서, 디지털 멀티미디어 방송을 통해 부가하여 전송하고자 하는 데이터(부가 데이터)를 저장하기 위한 데이터 관리 수단; 및 디지털 멀티미디어 방송 장치로부터 입력된 전송 스트림 내의 빈 패킷 영역을 분석하여 다음에 입력될 전송 스트림 내의 빈 패킷 영역을 예측하고, 상기 예측된 빈 패킷 영역에 상기 저장된 부가 데이터를 삽입하여 다중화하기 위한 데이터 다중화 수단을 포함한다.

A method and a system for providing a DMB service with private data are provided to avoid data capacity limitation. A data request receiving unit(101) of a server(110) receives a data request including a data identifier from a terminal receiving DMB broadcasting contents from a broadcasting transmitting apparatus through a broadcasting network. A personal data extracting unit(102) of the server extracts personal data corresponding to a data identifier from a data storage. A personal data transmitting unit(103) of the server transmits the extracted personal data to the terminal through a communication network. A transmitting unit(104) of the terminal(120) transmits a data request including the data identifier to a server which providing personal data. A receiving unit(106) of the terminal receives DMB contents transmitted from the broadcasting transmitting apparatus through a broadcasting network.

A method and an apparatus for referencing stream in other SAF(Simple Aggregation Format) sessions for LASeR(Light Application Scene Representation) service, and an apparatus for the LASeR service are provided to refer an element stream using different SAF sessions from a main stream by storing the checked global stream ID as a reference value of the stream placed in the SAF session. An element stream placed at different SAF sessions is determined(200). The global stream ID information on the LASeR service scene technology for the determined element stream is checked(201). The checked global stream ID information is stored as a reference value of the stream placed in the SAF session. The stream placed in the SAF session is a main stream of the LASeR service or an element stream in the main stream.

A method and an apparatus for displaying LASeR(Lightweight Application Scene Representation) contents are provided to effectively display LASeR contents by configuring a LASeR DOM(Document Object Model) by using a LASeR scene API(Application Program Interface) and accessing such LASeR DOM through the LASeR scene API. A parsing unit(110) parses a LASeR XML or LASeR binary stream. A LASeR DOM converting unit(120) converts LASeR scene information of the parsed LASeR binary stream into XML(eXtensible Markup Language) type data. A LASeR DOM generating unit(130) generates a LASeR DOM based on the parsed LASeR XML or the converted XML type LASeR scene data. A display unit(140) accesses the LASeR document object model by using a LASeR API providing contents information included in LASeR data, and displays a LASeR scene.

An apparatus and a method for converting the format of digital contents with text information included in a video signal are provided to extract text information from video data, convert the text information, insert the converted text information into terrestrial digital TV contents to prevent loss of text information caused by variations in the resolution and aspect ratio. An apparatus for converting the format of digital contents with text information included in video data includes a pre-processor(110), a video converter(120), a text information converter(140), and a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) content generator(150). The pre-processor separates video data from a digital TV contents. The video converter converts the separated video data into a DMB video data. The text information converter extracts text information from the video data separated by the pre-processor and converts the extracted text information into DMB text information. The DMB content generator generates DMB contents by using the DMB video data and the DMB text information.
