Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer that can achieve stable detection with a high S/N even for a minute amount of a reaction liquid.SOLUTION: In a quantitative analysis of a luminescent substance 114 included in a reaction liquid 109 by detecting light from the reaction liquid 109 containing the luminescent substance 114 with a photomultiplier 111 through an optical window 102 and processing the output, an optical system 110 for optical transmission is disposed between the optical window 102 and the photomultiplier 111, the optical system comprising an entrance aperture facing the optical window, an exit aperture facing a light-receiving face of the detector, and a reflecting face that reflects incident light from the entrance aperture to propagate toward the exit aperture. Thereby, influences of noise induced by the temperature of a flow cell 101 are decreased while suppressing decrease in the light quantity from the luminescent substance 114, which results in an analysis with a high S/N.

Abstract:
An automatic analyzing apparatus which can make an adjustment to a target temperature so as to stabilize the light intensity of an LED and also can make the adjustment to that temperature in a short time is provided. The automatic analyzing apparatus in which an LED is used for a light source 114 includes a temperature adjusting mechanism 201 for the LED, and the temperature adjusting mechanism 201 includes a metal member 202 provided with the light source 114, a pair of metal pipes (water-flowing pipes) 203 buried in the metal member 202 and allowing constant-temperature bath water to flow therein, and pins (small metal piece members) 204 bringing only a heat-generating lead 252 of the light source 114 into direct contact with the metal member 202. Therefore, the temperature adjusting mechanism 201 can make an adjustment to a target temperature so as to stabilize the light intensity of the LED, and the adjustment to that temperature can be made in a short time.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical measuring instrument for easily and optically measuring a flat measuring surface even if the amount of a liquid or molten material being a measuring target is little and for measuring the physical properties of the liquid or molten material by causing no transpiration or no reaction with another substance, and an optical measuring method. SOLUTION: The optical measuring instrument includes a base transparent container 6 which houses a measuring target material and keeps at least the base 6a flat and transparent and an optical device which projects light on the base 6a of the container 6 and detects and measures the reflected light 11 from the base. The base of the transparent container 6 housing the liquid or molten material 13 is irradiated with incident light 10 from a light source 1 and the reflected light component from the liquid or molten material 13 in the reflected light 11 is detected and measured.
