Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of treating hair, the method comprising the following steps: applying a composition to the hair, the composition comprising one or more active ingredients selected from the following: hair conditioning agents; reducing agents; organic or inorganic bases; hair dyes; abrasive solid particles; and moisturizing agents; and combing the hair using a motor-driven combing device (10) comprising spikes that are driven in an oscillating motion.
Abstract:
A powered device augments a joint function of a human during a gait cycle using a powered actuator that supplies an augmentation torque, an impedance, or both to a joint, and a controller that modulates the augmentation torque, the impedance, and a joint equilibrium according to a phase of the gait cycle to provide at least a biomimetic response. Accordingly, the device is capable of normalizing or augmenting human biomechanical function, responsive to a wearer's activity, regardless of speed and terrain.
Abstract:
A robot motor rehabilitation device (10), especially suitable for being used in motor rehabilitation activities on patients (72) suffering from neurological and/or orthopaedic damages of a various nature such as outcomes of ictus, head traumas, vertebral column injuries, as well as motor rehabilitation on patients with a hip bone or knee prosthesis, comprising a portal structure fixed to a base structure, a motor-driven belt (128) suitable for allowing the walk of the patient (72), a bodice (74) basically provided with four straps or braces (76) that can be hooked to the device structure and worn by the patient (72) for the support thereof, a first exoskeleton (82) and a second exoskeleton (84) articulated and independent for the passive and assisted movement of the lower limbs (72') of the patient (72), the exoskeletons comprising automatic actuation and movement means, with said rehabilitation device that further comprises means for lifting the patient and for the automatic and continuous control of the amount of weight of the same to be used in the therapy.
Abstract:
In a massaging device, a treating section (3) has a body plate (4) formed of a flexible material and a plurality of protrusions (5,6,7) intersecting the surface of the body plate and protruding downwardly. A massaging device main body (2) has a reciprocal drive means that deflects the body plate up and down. The small wall-like protrusions (27) smaller than the third protrusions (7) are provided on the surface of the body plate, and communicating portions communicating the interior with the exterior are provided inside the small wall-like protrusions. A containing portion (26) for shampoo that is communicated with the communicating portions is provided between the massaging device main body and the body plate. A shampoo is applied inside the small wall-like protrusions with the surface of the body plate facing upwardly, and is supplied to the containing portion. The shampoo is whipped correspondingly to the deflection of the body plate while supplied from the communicating portions to perform hair washing and scalp massaging.
Abstract:
A pelvic support unit is coupled to a base (110), by a powered vertical force actuator mechanism. A torso support unit (600), which is affixed to the patient independently of the pelvic support unit, is connected to the base (110) by one or more powered articulations which are actuable around respective axes of motion. Sensors sense the linear and angular displacement of the pelvic support unit and the torso support unit. A control unit is coupled to these sensors and, responsive to signals from them, selectively control the displacement actuator and articulation(s). Wheel modules are independently powered to both rotate and steer, and, responsive to the control unit, are capable of rolling the exercise device in a direction of travel intended by the patient.
Abstract:
A device for compressive treatment of a body part comprises a compression member (20), adapted to at least partly encircle the body part, and an actuation unit (10), arranged to tighten the compression member to provide a compressive force to the body part . The actuation unit comprises an active material actuator. There is also disclosed a system comprising such a device and methods for its therapeutic, cosmetic and non-therapeutic use and operation.
