Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are a monoclonal antibody specifically recognizing phytotoxins and a process for preparation thereof by using thaxtomin separated from Streptomyces scabies. CONSTITUTION: The monoclonal antibody recognizes phytotoxins specifically and contains thaxtomin A which is separated and purified from Streptomyces scabies S33 strain, wherein the thaxtomin A is represented by the formula(1). Its manufacturing method comprises the steps of: purifying phytotoxin, thaxtomin A, from the culture of Streptomyces scabies S33 strain; conjugating the phytotoxin with bovine serum albumin(BSA) and injecting it into a mouse to form an antibody; and selecting a monoclonal antibody from hybridoma cells by ELISA.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An end sealer and a cutting apparatus installed on a horizontal pillow packing machine are provided to improve productivity of agricultural product. CONSTITUTION: An end sealer and a cutting apparatus mounted on a horizontal pillow packing machine comprises a roll film(1) supplied to the horizontal pillow packing machine; a bag forming device(2) forming a bag to pack an agricultural product; a supplying conveyer(3) supplying the film; a bag transferring roller(5) continuously supplying the bag; a middle sealing roller(6) attaching a middle portion of the bag; a cooling roller(7) refrigerating an attached portion of the bag; a product detecting sensor mounted on a front portion of an end sealing and cutting apparatus(10) sealing and cutting the bag to pack the product; a discharge conveyer(12) discharging the product. Thereby, the end sealer and the cutting apparatus mounted on the horizontal pillow packing machine improve productivity of the agricultural product.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A microorganism suitable for fermenting silage having a low sugar content and a method for producing silage using the same are provided. The microorganism can grow at low sugar concentration and produce lots of lactic acid and is thus effectively used as an inoculant for producing silage. CONSTITUTION: The microorganism Lactobacillus plantarum NLRI-101 (KFCC-11101) which is suitable for fermenting silage having a low sugar content is isolated by the steps of: inserting high quality silage extract into an MRS broth containing 0.02% of sodium azide(NaN2) and incubating them at 37 deg. C for 24 hours; spreading the fermented culture of silage extract on MRS agar medium containing 0.02% of sodium azide and incubating them at 37 deg. C for 48 hours; and selecting colonies and identifying the strain as Lactobacillus plantarum NLRI-101 (KFCC-1101).
