Abstract: PURPOSE: To switch an scanning frame without letting go one's hold from a control device by providing a practicing mode changing means, a probe means for insertion into a human body, an operating means for operating this probe means, a connecting means for delivering an electric information signal to an instrument means and a switch means for controlling selection of a practicing mode on a scanning head. CONSTITUTION: A scanning head 10 is provided with an extended tubular probe part 12 and this probe part 12 is ended at the terminal end part 14 where a pair of ultrasonic transducer arrays are provided and on another terminal end part, an electric wiring for connecting a connector 20 with the transducer and a stainless steel used for controlling the direction of the terminal end part 14 are provided. The probe part 12 is connected with an operating device 16 wherein control nobs 32 and 34 for operating the terminal end part 14 of a terminal are provided. The operating device 16 is connected with a connector 20 connected to an ultrasonic diagnosis system with a cable 18 and in addition, a rocker switch for switching an image is provided on the bottom face. It is possible thereby to switch a scanning frame without letting go one's hold from a control device.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and comprehensively acquire M-mode information by using the two-dimensional display within the three-dimensional display for space, and using the third dimensional display for time. SOLUTION: A B-mode signal is converted into an image, and a three- dimensional image 40n is formed by a 3-D drawing processor. The image 40n is acquired in the order of 401 , 402 .... Multiple images 40n are acquired at the frame speed of multiple frames/sec. The time frame-frame interval is obtained as Δ=1/Frate . A three dimensional image is formed, where the (x), (y) in the image set indicate the (x), (y) values on a specific image frame and (z) indicates the time position of the frame (n) in the time series of flames. This three dimensional image is rotated on both (x), (y) axes, and a bulkhead and a rear wall are displayed in the three-dimensional display: two-dimensional display for space and one-dimensional display for time. Comprehensive information can be quickly obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare two interpolation lines in line positions deviated from a position of a receiver line and improve the linear density of an ultrasonic image by interpolating in a space toward another receiver scanning line. SOLUTION: The method is used when a continuous receiving scanning line prepares two interpolation image lines in different positions between the receiving operation line positions. This is implemented by an interpolator 30. A line buffer 14 delays respective receiving scanning lines by the time of a line segment. The delayed line and the line receiving at present are weighted by weighted coefficients a1 , a2 and then the weighted scanning line signals are coupled with each other by adding circuits 32, 34. Secondly, the interpolated signals are detected and converted into desired image modes by a scanning converter so as to be displayed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a three dimensional ultrasonic picture for both of a tissue and a bloodstream without a three dimensional memory or a z-buffer by a method wherein a tissue display information and a stream display information are formed by processing an ultrasonic echo, and a three dimensional image is formed by processing the tissue and stream display information by an alternate arrangement sequence. SOLUTION: I and W specimens are transferred to a B mode processor 24, and a gray scale signal of a lightness corresponding with the strength of an echo signal is formed, and is stored in a 2D image sequence memory 34. Also, a high pass filtering is applied to the I and Q specimens by a wall filter 22, and the I and Q specimens are built up into the assembly of Doppler data by a Doppler processor 30, and a Doppler signal for stream characteristics is formed, and is stored in a Doppler image sequence memory 36. A 2D image and a stream image are alternately provided to a 3D synthesized image drawing processor 50 by an image alternate arrangement sequencer 44, and a 3D image is formed by alternately arranging the 2D image and the stream image.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly display thick blood vessels in capillary vessels by differentiating a coherent echo signal received from two pulse transmissions and detecting the differentiated signal and displaying it in an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus for detecting coherent of an ultrasonic contrasting agent. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe 10 has an array 12 of an ultrasonic converter and an ultrasonic echo is transferred to a divided channel of a beam generator 16 through a transmitter/receiver 14 to form a sequence of a coherent echo signal in accordance with the depth of receiving in the body of a patient. After this echo signal is demodulated to a rectangular phase by means of an I/Q demodulator 18, it is filtered and detected and transferred to a scanning converter 40 through a B mode processor 37. I and Q signal components are transferred to a pulse-pulse differentiating circuit 24 and the differentiated signal is transferred to an event identifying tool 27 through an amplitude detector 20 and a micro-bubble destroying event is identified there and an image obtd. by an operation converter 40 is displayed on a displaying apparatus 50.
