Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of evaluating a coupling coefficient between a transponder and a terminal in a magnetic field of the terminal, in which the transponder exists.SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating the coupling coefficient between the electromagnetic transponder and the terminal, two pairs of inductance values and capacitance values of an oscillation circuit in the transponder are selected so as to maintain the synchronization of the oscillation circuit, a ratio of voltages of the oscillation circuit which are obtained as to the two pairs of inductance values and capacitance values is compared with one or more thresholds, and the coupling coefficient is evaluated based on the compared result.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting presence of a transponder in an electromagnetic field even when the transponder and/or a terminal oscillating circuit is not tuned. SOLUTION: In the method for detecting presence of a contactless communication element by the terminal forming the electromagnetic field and having the oscillating circuit, the oscillating circuit of the terminal is excited at a variable frequency between two values surrounding a nominal tuning frequency of the oscillating circuit; and a signal representative of the load of the oscillating circuit is interpreted to detect that a reference voltage has not been exceeded, which indicates the presence of the element in the field. Abstract:
An EEPROM memory integrated circuit includes memory cells arranged in a memory plane. Each memory cell includes an access transistor in series with a state transistor. Each access transistor is coupled, via its source region, to the corresponding source line and each state transistor is coupled, via its drain region, to the corresponding bit line. The floating gate of each state transistor rests on a dielectric layer having a first part with a first thickness, and a second part with a second thickness that is less than the first thickness. The second part is located on the source side of the state transistor.

The insulation layer of the storage transistor of the second memory cell includes at least one portion that is less insulating than the insulation layer of the storage transistor of the first memory cell.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for assisting in the positioning of an electromagnetic transponder in relation to a terminal by a user, wherein: a first value (Ii) of the current in the oscillating circuit of the terminal is measured periodically; a second value of a ratio between an empty value (Iv) of this current, stored when there is no transponder in the field of the terminal, and the first value is calculated; and information elements intended for the user are controlled as a function of said second value.
