Abstract: PURPOSE: An electrostatic apparatus for measuring the amount of remnant fuel in a fuel tank using a tilt angle sensor is provided to produce the fuel amount according to the permittivity of and the variation of capacitance of the fuel positioned between two electrodes by forming an electrostatic fuel amount sensor. CONSTITUTION: An electrostatic apparatus(1) for measuring the amount of remnant fuel in a fuel tank using a tilt angle sensor comprises a fuel amount sensor(11), a tilt angle sensor(12), a temperature sensing part(13), an A/D converter(14), and a controller(15). The fuel amount sensor measures electrostatic capacity which increases and decreases according to the height of the fuel stored in a fuel tank. The fuel amount sensor measures the height of the fuel. The tilt angle sensor measures the tilt angle of the fuel stored in the fuel tank. The temperature sensing part calculates the permittivity and the electrostatic capacity which is increased and decreased according to the temperature of the fuel. The A/D converter converts the fuel amount, the tilt angle, and the temperature data into digital data. The controller calculates the fuel amount using the digital data.
