Abstract: A laser scanning apparatus is provided to properly arrange a split unit between a polygon mirror and an imaging lens, thereby efficiently splitting the light-beam from a light source. A light source(10) generates light beams(LY,LM,LC,LK) and transmits the light beams to a photosensitive body(60). A polygon mirror(20) deflects the light beams toward the scanning direction. A collimating lens(12) and a cylindrical lens(13) are additionally located between the light source and polygon mirror. Dividing units(30,40) divide the light beams deflected by the polygon mirror. The first and second dividing mirrors have a different curvature, respectively. The divided light beams are imaged on the photosensitive body so that the latent images are formed.
