PURPOSE: An EDM(Electrical Discharge Machining) apparatus using spray is provided to prevent the abrasion of a tool by performing electrical discharge machining using deionized water. CONSTITUTION: An EDM(Electrical Discharge Machining) apparatus using spray comprises a stage(24), a jig(26), a sprayer(10), and a discharge circuit(20). A workpiece(W) is placed on the stage. The jig forms a gap between the jig and the workpiece and has a tool(T) for electrical discharge machining. The sprayer sprays a spray-type processing medium(M) on the gap. The discharge circuit applies voltage to the gap.

PURPOSE: A metallic microstructure and a machining method thereof are provided to obtain the metallic microstructure, which is minute enough to be attached to a vertical wall and has high aspect ratio and strength by forming a minute fin arrangement on a metallic surface using dross and a resolidified layer. CONSTITUTION: A metallic microstructure comprises dross, a resolidified layer, and fins(110). The dross is formed along a plurality of laser machining paths set in grid directions by repetitively machining the surface of a metallic base material(101). The resolidified layer is formed as the dross formed by laser machining is repetitively melted and resolidified. The fins are formed by overlapping the resolidified layer in a plurality of fins position around the machined portion and arranged at a regular interval on the surface of the metallic base material.

PURPOSE: A method for forming a micro and nano dual structure using electric discharge machining(EDM) is provided to easily form a micro and nano dual structure on a surface of a flat or curved structure because a table is finely driven by operating a driving unit with a control unit. CONSTITUTION: A method for forming a micro and nano dual structure using EDM is as follows. Micro patterns are formed on the surface of a structure by the EDM using a wire(142). Nano surface roughness is formed on the surface of the structure due to sparks generated in the EDM process to form the micro and nano dual structure on the surface of the structure. PURPOSE: A fuel cell is provided to enable reaction of flow of fuel electrode plate with oxygen in both sides of fuel electrode plate and to largely improve output. CONSTITUTION: A fuel cell comprises: a fuel electrode plate(60) having flow channel; a pair of membrane-electrode assemblies(10) which is attached on both sides of the fuel electrode plate and has an electrolyte and electrode; and a pair of air electrode plate(50) which is attached on the other side of the membrane-electrode assemblies and is able to contact the membrane electrode assemblies. The flow channel is formed in a silt structure.

Introduced are a manufacturing apparatus and a manufacturing method using a spark assisted machining moving a soft area of a material formed by a spark while squeezing with a machining tool. The manufacturing apparatus using the spark-assisted machining comprises: a reaction vessel storing an electrolyte in which the material is soaked; an electrode inserted into the reaction vessel; a machining tool producing sparks when the power is applied, to form a soft area at the material; a transfer means for squeezing the soft area of the material with the machining tool; a power supply supplying the power to the machining tool and the electrode; and a controller controlling the transfer means and the power supply.

PURPOSE: A roll-type structure with a micro and nano dual structure using electric discharge machining(EDM) and an apparatus for forming the micro and nano dual structure on the surface of a base substrate using the same are provided to prevent the surface defects of the structure and to guarantee excellent sustainability and easy manufacturing work by directly forming a micro and nano dual structure on the surface of the structure with EDM. CONSTITUTION: A roll-type structure(200) has a micro pattern(210) and a nano surface roughness(220) on the surface thereof. The micro pattern is formed by EDM using a wire. The nano surface roughness is formed on the surface of the structure by sparks generating in the EDM process for forming the micro patterns.
