The present invention relates to a food composition for removing heavy metals which includes Korean leek without side effects to human body as an effective component. The ability of removing the heavy metals of the Korean leek is confirmed through the present invention, and the Korean leek can be developed into the food composition including the Korean leek, and be used for removing the heavy metals. The heavy metals are one selected from arsenic, cadmium, and lead.

Provided are a manufacturing method of a Smilax china root extract having increased active ingredient contents and a detoxicating beverage composition including the Smilax china root extract. With regard to the manufacturing method of the Smilax china root extract, a Smilax china root powder is firstly prepared, and an ethanol extract of Smilax china roots is obtained from the Smilax china root powder by using ethanol. A concentrate having a reduced ethanol content is obtained by vacuum concentrating the ethanol extract of Smilax china roots.

본 발명의 일 측면은 청미래덩굴 잎을 아스퍼질러스속 미생물로 발효시켜 얻은 산물인 발효 청미래덩굴 잎을 제공한다. 또한, 본 발명의 다른 측면은 청미래덩굴 잎을 아스퍼질러스속 미생물로 발효시켜 얻은 산물인 발효 청미래덩굴 잎으로부터 추출한 발효 청미래덩굴 잎 추출물을 제공한다. 본 발명에 따른 발효 청미래덩굴 잎은 아스퍼질러스속 미생물로 발효되어 발효 전보다 향상된 잔틴 옥시다아제(Xanthine oxidase) 억제 활성 또는 알데하이드 옥시다아제(aldehyde oxidase) 억제 활성을 나타낸다. 또한, 본 발명에 따른 발효 청미래덩굴 잎은 발효 전보다 향상된 관능적 특성을 나타낸다. 따라서, 본 발명에 따른 발효 청미래덩굴 잎으로 제조한 발효 차나 기능성 음료는 상업적 품질이 우수하고 시음자의 건강을 유지시키거나 개선하는데에 유리하다. 또한, 본 발명에 따른 발효 청미래덩굴 잎의 추출물 또는 이의 분획물은 통풍, 간 손상, 비만, 고지혈증, 지방간 등을 예방, 개선 또는 치료하기 위한 의약품 소재 또는 기능성 식품 소재로 매우 유용하다.
