Provided are a manufacturing method of a Smilax china root extract having increased active ingredient contents and a detoxicating beverage composition including the Smilax china root extract. With regard to the manufacturing method of the Smilax china root extract, a Smilax china root powder is firstly prepared, and an ethanol extract of Smilax china roots is obtained from the Smilax china root powder by using ethanol. A concentrate having a reduced ethanol content is obtained by vacuum concentrating the ethanol extract of Smilax china roots.
