Abstract: PURPOSE: A method of measuring thickness of a metallic layer on a flexible substrate is provided to measure thickness of a metallic layer using convex parts periodically appearing on the metallic layer by stress applied from the outside or residual stress when the metallic layer is worn on a flexible substrate. CONSTITUTION: A method of measuring thickness of a metallic layer on a flexible substrate(2) comprises following steps. Convex parts are generated by applying of compressive stress to the metallic layer. The cycle of the convex part is measured.

Abstract: A method of imparting a large and accurate initial tension to a coil spring and its application are provided, wherein the method is applied to a shape memory alloy to make an actuator having excellent performance and control shape of the coil spring at high and low temperatures in the reverse shape memory effect. A method of imparting initial tension to a coil spring comprises: winding a coil wire clockwise or counterclockwise to prepare an opened coil spring in which a predetermined distance between the coil wires is maintained when an external force is not applied to the coil spring; and reversing the winding direction of the opened coil spring at the same time as making the coil wires close to each other to manufacture a closed coil spring which maintains its shape when an external force is not applied to the coil spring.

Abstract: Provided is a coating device comprising a stirring cylinder in which the stirring cylinder is rotated and powder is uniformly stirred by a plurality of protrusion, and thus surface of the powder is uniformly coated. The coating device comprises: a stirring cylinder(6) which contains a powder, can be rotated, and comprises a plurality of protrusions at its inner circumference; a reactor vessel(4) which contains the stirring cylinder(6), and has a gas inlet(3) at its one end for chemical vapor deposition and a gas vent(5) at the other end; and a chamber(1) which contains the reactor vessel(4) and has both ends opened so that the gas inlet(3) and the gas vent(5) are exposed on the outside. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a strip by strip casting and continuous shear deformation comprises a strip casting device(10) directly manufacturing the strip from molten metal; and a continuous strip shear deformation device(40) manufacturing a strip by continuously shear deforming the strip manufactured in the strip casting device, wherein the apparatus further comprises an intermediate treatment device(30) before the step of transferring the strip to the continuous strip shear deformation device(40), the continuous strip shear deformation device(40) is consisted of upper and lower dies having bending angles for shear deforming the strip(100), and a strip transfer device transferring the strip to the dies, wherein the strip(100) is transferred to the dies after moving to a certain distance along the surface of the strip transfer device so as to increase friction force between the strip and the strip transfer device, and the continuous strip shear deformation device(40) is consisted of a rotating strip transfer device, and dies simultaneously separating a strip(100) transferred by the rotating strip transfer device from the transfer device, and generating shear deforming.
