Abstract: PURPOSE: A dummy wafer and a method for fabricating the same are provided to improve stiffness and toughness of the dummy wafer by simplifying a fabricating process of the dummy wafer. CONSTITUTION: A complex material is stacked on a metal film of a predetermined size in order to obtain mutual isotropy(S110). A mold is pressed on an exposed of the complex material(S120). The mold, the complex material, and metal film are packed with a vacuum bag, a vacuum state is formed in the inside of the vacuum bag, and the vacuum bag is loaded into an autoclave(S130). The mold is printed on the complex material by increasing temperature and pressure of the autoclave and an adhesive resin is hardened by performing a heating process(S140). The complex material and the metal film are removed from the metal and a dummy wafer is formed by performing a cutting process(S150). Nickel or cooper is plated on a surface of the dummy wafer(S160).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A foam-complex material robot hand is provided to improve the carrying speed and the positional accuracy of a glass panel display by applying a sandwich structure. CONSTITUTION: A sandwich beam(20) comprises a foam and a complex material(24). A support pin(40) for a glass panel display, a vacuum pad(42) and a bolt combining portion(44) are formed in the sandwich beam. Many fine holes are punched in the foam for easily impregnating a resin. A reinforcing block is inserted in the bolt combining portion to support a compressive load. Thereby, the control characteristic of a robot hand is improved with the excellent vibration characteristic.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An outer mold for manufacturing a guide beam is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost thereof and to improve the surface state of the guide beam by attaching silicon rubber having a high thermal expansion rate with a low strength to the outer mold. CONSTITUTION: A guide beam has a rectangular pipe(10a) made of aluminum. Complex material(10b) is attached to an outer surface of the rectangular pipe(10a). The guide beam is used for conveying parts. Since the surface of the complex material(10b) acts as a guide surface when the parts are conveyed, the surface of the complex material(10b) has to be finely processed. In order to improve the function of an article and to reduce the manufacturing processes, a pressing member is attached to the outer mold. The strength of the guide beam is calculated so as to determine the thickness and angle of the rectangular pipe(10a) and the complex material(10b). After attaching the complex material(10b) to the outer surface of the rectangular pipe(10a), a silicon rubber plate(24) is placed in an outer mold(22). Then, a mold cover is coupled to the outer mold(22) by means of a bolt.
