Abstract: PURPOSE: A urea injection controlling method of a diesel engine is provided to control injection time and injection amount of urea according to temperature of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: A temperature of exhaust gas from a diesel engine is detected by time unit for detecting an average temperature(20). In case of the average temperature under a purifying temperature range of exhaust gas, air supply is blocked while not injecting urea(22). In case of the average temperature over the purifying temperature range, air is supplied while not injecting the urea(23). In case of the average temperature within the purifying temperature range, a temperature inclination is compared with a urea injection range(24). In case of the temperature inclination under the urea injection range, air is supplied while not injecting the urea(25). In case of the inclination within the urea injection range, air and fuel are injected according to set time and interval(27).

CONSTITUTION: The diesel engine catalyst composition for removing nitrogen oxides is characterized in that 0.1 to 5 wt.% of cocatalyst constituent A is added to activated alumina in which 0.5 to 10 wt.% of silver (Ag) compound is impregnated, wherein the diesel engine catalyst composition for removing nitrogen oxides is formed in a monolith honeycomb structure and manufactured by drying and calcining the slurry wash-coated structure after wash-coating on the structure a slurry prepared by adding 0.1 to 5 wt.% of cocatalyst constituent A to activated alumina in which 0.5 to 10 wt.% of silver (Ag) compound is impregnated, wherein acidifier such as acetic acid can be added in the step of impregnating silver (Ag) into activated alumina, wherein the cocatalyst constituent A, as an additive to be added to properly control removing performance of nitrogen oxides, is one or more constituents selected from Ba, La, V, Co, Cd and Ni, and the constituents are added to activated alumina in the amount of 0.1 to 5 wt.%, preferably 1 to 2 wt.% in an aqueous solution form, wherein preferably supports include cordierite and ceramic material such as α-alumina or mullite, and wherein the coated catalyst composition is fixated by calcination.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An exhaust smoke reducing method is provided to prevent the accumulation of smoke in a muffler at a low-speed and low-load region and to reduce smoke at a high-speed and high-load region. CONSTITUTION: Smoke accumulated in a muffler is evaporated by heating the muffler up to 300deg.C for 150sec. At a low-speed and low-load region in a normal traveling state, a heater is operated(S16) if the internal temperature of the muffler is lower than 300deg.C. After 150sec(S13), the heater is turned off(S18) when the internal temperature of the muffler becomes 300deg.C(S17) to evaporate the smoke condensed in the muffler. At a high-speed and high-load region in a normal traveling state, the heater is operated(S26) if the internal temperature of the muffler is lower than 600deg.C(S21). When the internal temperature of the muffler reaches 600deg.C(S27), smoke is burned and the heater is stopped(S28). Therefore, the exhaust smoke of a diesel vehicle is reduced.
