Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a high temperature resistant sound absorbing material and, more particularly, a method for manufacturing a high temperature resistant sound absorbing material including a cotton beating and blending step, a web formation step, a web lamination step, a needle punching step, a binder dipping step, and a solvent recovery step. A high temperature resistant sound absorbing material that is manufactured by using the method of the present invention is mounted on sites that are closest to noise sources in an engine and an exhaust system to reduce the radiated noise of the engine and the radiated noise of the exhaust system and improve silence in a vehicle, and is applied to the vicinity of metallic parts with a temperature of at least 200°C to achieve a heat blocking function for the protection of nearby plastic and rubber parts.
