    Abstract: PURPOSE: A protecting apparatus of a hydraulic system for an automatic transmission in a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to improve durability of a clutch and a brake, and to prevent stick of the transmission or shift shock by neutrally and momentarily controlling the hydraulic system in not forming hydraulic pressure during braking suddenly or traveling on the inclined road. CONSTITUTION: A protecting device of a hydraulic system for an automatic transmission is composed of an oil pump(10) generating and discharging oil for controlling the speed range and lubricating; a pressure regulating valve(14) connected to a pipe(12) flowing hydraulic pressure from the oil pump to regulate pressure of oil; and a hydraulic state detecting solenoid valve(160) placed at the right of the pressure regulating valve to output a signal by detecting right movement of a valve spool(14b) with a return spring(14a) in not forming hydraulic pressure. The endurance of the clutch and the brake is improved, and shift shock is prevented by controlling the hydraulic system neutrally and momentarily.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A multi disk clutch is provided to reduce the production cost and to uniformly distribute the load at the operation of a return spring by improving the structure of a buckling transformation preventing device of the return spring. CONSTITUTION: An input shaft(42) of a transmission receives rotating power of a torque converter. A clutch housing(44) is rotated by connecting with the input shaft. A clutch plate(46) is rotated by installing in the clutch housing. A clutch disk(48) transmits the rotating force of the input shaft to the transmission through a power transferring member(49) when rubbing with the clutch plate by combining with the power transferring member. A piston(50) closes the clutch plate to the clutch disk by hydraulic force. A return spring(52) returns the piston to the original position when the hydraulic force is released by fixing in the piston and a spring retainer(54) of the clutch housing. A buckling transformation preventing device(60) prevents the buckling transformation of the return spring. Thereby, the durability is improved and the separation of the return spring from the spring retainer is prevented.

Assembling process and parts are reduced with integrally forming the protrusion and the protrusion guide part. The manual shaft is disassembled conveniently with reducing tolerance.
