Abstract: Disclosed is an external airbag cushion for a vehicle. Abstract: PURPOSE: A steering column which reduces the manufacturing cost and the components of a vehicle is provided to remove a mounting bracket in order to mount the steering column on a cowl cross member by combining a column tube in a cowl deck bracket with a tilt lever bolt. CONSTITUTION: A steering column comprises a column tube(3a). The column tube is installed on a deck bracket(2) attached to a cowl cross member(1). The column tube rotates to be cross and apart to and from a driver. The deck bracket comprises a channel of reversed U shaped. The tilt bracket attached to the column tube is inserted in the channel. A guide hole is formed on both sides of the deck bracket. A tilt bolt is inserted through the guide hole and the tilt bracket.

본 발명에 따르면, 스티어링 휠에 형성되는 허브의 내측으로 에어백의 장착시 와이어 길이를 조절할 수 있어 작업시간 및 그에 따른 경비를 줄일 수 있는 효과가 있을 뿐만 아니라 와이어 피복 파손으로 인한 에어백의 경고등이 점등되는 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
