Abstract: PURPOSE: A key interlock device for a vehicle is provided to minimize the operation time of a solenoid since an incline is formed at the lower end of a lock bar. CONSTITUTION: A key interlock device for a vehicle comprises a cam shaft(10), a solenoid(20), and a controller. The cam shaft comprises a lock plate(11) formed with a first bent portion(12) and a second bent portion(14). The cam shaft connects to the key cylinder and rotates. The first bent portion is projected from the outer circumference. The second bent portion is depressed. A lock bar(21) is mounted in the solenoid and is placed on the top of the lock plate to move the lock plate up and down according to power application. The controller senses the position of the rotation of a key. The controller applies power on the solenoid and controls the vertical movement of the lock bar.
