    Abstract: PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of three-way catalyst producing ammonia for passive ammonia/selective catalytic reduction and a tree-way catalyst manufactured by the same are provided to be effectively used for environmentally-friendly automobiles. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst for reducing nitrogen oxide into ammonia is carried in a metal oxide carrier. A manufacturing method of the catalyst includes a step for thermally treating noble metal powder carried in the metal oxide carrier in the process of manufacturing a three-way catalyst based on an impregnation method. The noble metal is rhodium(Rh). The metal oxide support is Al2O3, SiO2, ZrO2, CeO2, C3Z1(Ce0.75Zr0.25O2), or the mixture. The noble metal carried in the carrier is thermally treated at 800-1,200 deg.
