Abstract:
An optical recording material containing a compound of formula (I): wherein R 1 and R 2 each represent hydrogen, hydroxyl, halogen, nitro, cyano, a C1-C30 organic group, or a group of formulae (II), (II') or (III); or R 1 and R 2 are connected to form a ring; X 1 is -CR 3 R 4 - or -NH-; Y 1 is a C1-C30 organic group or a substituent of formulae (II), (II') or (III); R 3 and R 4 each represent hydrogen, a C1-C30 organic group, or a group of formulae (II), (II') or (III), provided that, when Y 1 is a group of formula (III), R 3 is hydrogen, a C1-C30 organic group, or a group of formulae (II), (II') or (III), and when Y 1 is a C1-C30 organic group or a group of formulae (II) or (II'), R 3 is a group of formulae (II), (II') or (III); M is Fe, Co, Ni, Ti, Cu, Zn, Zr, Cr, Mo, Os, Mn, Ru, Sn, Pd, Rh, Pt, or Ir; An q- is a q-valent anion, p is a number necessary to neutralize an electric charge; and q is 1 or 2.
Abstract:
Provided are a nonaqueous electrolyte excellent in prevention of overcharge and capable of retaining a small internal resistance and a high electrical capacity even after charge/discharge cycles and a nonaqueous secondary battery using the same. Specifically, the nonaqueous electrolyte of the invention is a lithium salt solution in an organic solvent and contains at least one compound having general formula (1), and the nonaqueous secondary battery includes a negative electrode capable of intercalating and deintercalating lithium, a positive electrode containing a transition metal and lithium, and the nonaqueous electrolyte of the invention. The details of formula (1) are as described in the description.
Abstract:
A laminate of layered substances each containing two or more kinds of elements as constituent elements is contained in an ionic liquid containing a specific cation, and the ionic liquid containing the laminate is irradiated with one or both of sonic waves and electric waves.
Abstract:
This carrier system carries at least one type of sensitizing dye described in (A) below and at least one type of sensitizing dye described in (B) below: (A) a sensitizing dye having a À-conjugated group and at least one anchor group, wherein the À-conjugated group and every one of the anchor group(s) are connected by a spacer having at least one alkylene and having an atomicity of 5 to 20; and (B) a sensitizing dye having a À-conjugated group and at least one anchor group, wherein the À-conjugated group and at least one anchor group are connected by a direct bond or by a spacer having at least one alkylene and having an atomicity of 1 to 4. In (A) and (B), the spacer is composed of carbon atoms, or carbon atoms and oxygen atom(s) etc., under predetermined conditions (see Description), and may have a branched chain or a ring structure.
Abstract:
A method for loading a support with a compound in an organic solvent, characterized in that the organic solvent contains an amine. The organic solvent preferably has a hydroxy group. The compound preferably has at least one of carboxyl, sulfonic, phosphoric, phosphonic, and alkoxysilyl groups. The support is preferably a metal oxide, such as titanium oxide, zinc oxide, or aluminum oxide. The resulting compound-loaded support is suited for use as an electrode.
